project 365: 8th week—

day 50 — i went to puteri’s school to meet the teachers and discussed about her achievements. i was waiting for my turn, then as usual i took out my oly to snap a pic for my project 365! :) i find that some people do not even bother to attend this day. for me, no matter our kids are good or not in their studies, we as the parents should make sure that we do our responsibilities. show them that we care!

day 51 — the next day was megat’s turn! here we were at yut loy, having some morning break while waiting for the time to fetch puteri in school hehee…

day 52 — i got megat to snap this pic for me. i wanted to show-off my first handmade backpack! that’s mine of course! i sew it according to my likes as per megat. he is 100% correct. that’s one best thing about handmade item; where you can do as whatever you wished, and it will be one-of-a-kind! i used black and white butterfly cotton from ikea. i simply lurve this fabric. i did patchwork for the front part, and added two butterfly appliquè that i cut from the same fabric. so if you like this, then you should visit my kualè girl designs page on facebook to view more of my collections :)

day 53 — help save lives with just one signature! i found this form in the sunday star paper. and because i care about the environment and nature, i quickly filled in the form and seal it to be posted the next time i went out to town—no stamps needed anyway, as it’s a paid postage. its to show my support for laws that will ban the sale and consumption of all turtle eggs throughout the country. go here to do this online.

day 54 — don’t wait! remember the tv and radio ads, that reminding publics to see the doctor whenever they don’t feel good. that’s what we did that day. megat was not feeling well, so off we went to the clinic as soon as he finished his mandarin tuition class. thank god its only minor thingy… *phew*

day 55 — another side of masjid (mosque) ubudiah. pic was a bit blur, not because it has been taken by puteri. i forgot to bring my oly, so i had to use my n76 instead… blerk! we were waiting in the car, for mama who was meeting the mosque’ imam.

day 56 — another pic while waiting. this one was at the junction going in to the d.o.’s bungalow. form 3 students had to attend klinik pmr this week, thus puteri also has to go back around 5+ pm huhuu…

butterfly catcher(?)...

do you know what is this thingy people—

well for those who dunno, its actually a hair styling device. eventually we used that to create an inverted ponytail (or also known as an inside-out ponytail).

follow these three easy steps:

1. gather the hair into a low ponytail
   smoothing hair, gather it all back into a low ponytail near nape of neck. fix with hair band, tying more loosely than you would with a standard ponytail. tip: use a band that matches your hair color.


2. create a hole above the band
   using the hairstyling device, insert it in the hair just above the hair band. twist the hair in the loop to make it easier to thread through in the next step.


3. thread hair through the hole
   thread the twisted ponytail through the hole at the front, pulling it out the bottom with the hairstyling device. slide up the hair band to tighten for a strong hold.

guess what people... i wanted to create this hairstyle for puteri this morning. when megat saw me putting the hairstyling device in puteri's ponytail, then he asked me, "mummy, why are you putting that butterfly catcher thing in chor's hair?"

"butterfly catcher?!!", i asked him back.

"yaaa...", megat replied in his serious tone.

puteri and i looked at each other and laughed like hell. well sorry darling... so i explained to him of what that thingy is actually meant for.

jusco, wake up! and do something...

about two weeks ago, i was walking around jusco kinta city with megat when suddenly i saw a butterfly picture frame. i was kind of excited though, as you know, i love butterfly so much. so i picked it up to have a closer look when i spot a typo/printing error (?) at a message there with just a glance… “HAPPY BIRTHADY” —blerk!


what is so shameful ya for such a big company can have a simple mistake like that? halooo… you can have millions excuse, but that should not be excusable. you can’t blame the supplier. you as a dealer can dispute the product, not until the supplier correct their mistake. or better still; do not place the item on the gondola. i really hope that something could be done here.

the day lela got married

lela is a workmate from another trading area. thats why i dunno whose her other half at all. unlike faizal, azah's husband. but then... well, since i got an invitation and am a kinda free, i thought that i just have to go, accompanied by megat, my hero ;)

guess what people. i was in pink, just like the wedding's colour theme hehe...

o yea... unfortunately ween called when i was getting ready to go to ipoh this morning. if only i knew that you are coming to this territory much earlier, i would have rearrange my schedule i.e. go to lela's wedding early, to spent time with you after that. who knows, if you could just come over for us to do some baking together-gather :D well, its alright lar... i guess its no rezeki for us to meet yet, maybe some other time... insya allah.

dear rose...

sis, all this while you kept quiet. suddenly this morning you surprised me with this belated birthday package via pos laju -- a butterfly red handbag, a butterfly ring and a butterfly birthday card (see pic).

at first when my staff handed me the package, i asked her of whose the sender. then she told me that its from rose. i was kinda curious whether its the rose (you) i knew. i looked at the package and thought to myself, "hmm... she wrote my full name! and how on earth she knew my address too?". yes sis, how did you find out my address? surprisingly there were tears running in my eyes. my staff looked at me. i smiled. she left me alone in my office. i quickly unwrap the package. by this time, i was already more surprised when i saw the things that you sent me, that all of my favourite item -- anything butterfly! tqsm sis... you don't have to... really, anyway they are all lovely... actually i was speechless ;) whatever it is i will definitely wear the butterfly ring this saturday during zaf's wedding reception in kl. its really gonna go along with my dress for the bali theme, in beige colour. insya-allah i will upload the pics here in my blog. who knows, i might be taking pics with AZ ;)

butterfly every where

its showering outside. i am posting this from home while other people already at work ;) well eventually i didn't go down to my office at all yesterday. i was just relaxing in the comfort of my cooling room. maybe i needed another day break after my birthday hehe... big boss never said anything though. he saw me in my casual mode, and said nothing, that's all.what when since i put on my new butterfly quilt set on the birthday night. some of you may already know that i LOVE butterfly so much!!! i can't resist myself to leave my bed lol... cantik kan? actually i bought that many months ago at aussino in gurney plaza. when i bought it, i already decided that i would use it on my 35th birthday. fyi i am the one who don't simply buy bed linen set just like that. i will always think whether it would match my bedroom (blue, yellow and white colour with butterfly!) or not. so as you could see although i do not own much bed linen set, i would ensure that it is in good condition every time.

other than that maybe because of my new toy. you know... just like small kids who have got something new teheehee... i have been trying my new olympus fe-230 i.e. check-out all the features, read the manual, browsing thru reviews online etc.

i am so damn lucky gurl

i was at old town kopitiam near ipoh padang yesterday, for lunch-cum-briefing/meeting with my sub-committee members for the family day's gala award nite. we were enjoying our time for hours, eating, discussing, laughing like no one business. when i wanted to drive-off, i can't start my 4wd. luckily my heroes all were still there. so i left it with shaidi.

i followed siti from taiping. the thing was we didn't go back but went to parkson instead. i thought we just wanted to ease our mind by just walking around there, window shopping. we found that some of the individual shops there were newly refurbished. until we dropped-in voir. we were impressed with all the nice and cute accessories there. i end up buying two pairs of earring and a matching necklace for my butterfly earring. cute kan? while siti bought herself a pair of stone heart earring with matching necklace too. other than that, both of us also saw a nice light green skirt and grab one each ;) well as you could see, other than shoes, this is my kind of therapy too! nothing to worry about my 4wd, as its in good hands lol...

so later i will get one of my staff to drive me to shaidi's place. i have another meeting to attend at ISO (ipoh sales office) at 2.30pm today.

meeting sheryl, lich & leilanie

my 2D/1N weekend trip to kl this time was so packed i tell you. i only managed to leave kuale around 5.30pm yesterday. everybody already left much earlier. i left behind because i was one of the committee at a community event in aulong, taiping for that very morning. so i had to come back here first. the most important thing was that i haven't send my 4wd for service hehe... once that completed, then only i felt safe to travel. i decided to dress-up right from here and go straight to shah alam, for my cousin charlie's wedding last night. thanks a lot to leilanie for the direction ;) sorry no pics of the wedding, no mood ler... anyhow all i could say that it was a great one, having sultan of pahang as one of the royal guest, with slides about both the bride and groom prepared by charlie himself. well congratulations to both of you charlie & yatt. may you be blessed with much love till the end of time.

i woke-up very early this morning, although it was sunday. i already had plan to bring my puteri and megat with my nephew shahriman to watch disney on ice' 11am show at bukit jalil. click here to view pics of the show that i have taken. i had to send shahriman to his uncle's (my cousin) place before i go to the curve for my next appointment.

sheryl and lich already waited for me at tgif. i was of course with puteri and megat. unfortunately puteri was shy, juz like when i wanted to go for the penang blogger meet last time. as soon as we got in, she make an excuse to go to the washroom, but then she disappeared. we thought that maybe she was shy with lich around lol... not long after that, leilanie joined us. tadaa!!!... hmm... surprised or not you all hehe... i plan not to tell either three of you :D someone must be 'terkezut beruk' rotfl... we really had a damn great hours anyway, being only known each other thru blogs. that's the wonders of blogging!

meeting very special kids

some of you may not know yet, that i am holding the position of vice president of pta of my former primary school. thus other than work commitment, i am also busy helping teachers to provide whatever the best for the school—i love my school so much. i do not like it to be left behind. so i was there this morning with the president, to give some support for standard six pupils. the school's pta organized a motivational programme for them.

i was walking at the corridor, to my 4wd. then i had been stopped by an indian girl. she called me cikgu (that's teacher in malay). from the way she talked and act, i understood that she is one of the special kids that is studying there. we continued chatting while walking. when we were about to reach the car-porch, another girl joined us. that malay girl is a special kids too. she looked at me and saw my blue butterfly ear-rings. "ehh... cantiknya (beautiful)", she said while touched it slowly. i dunno why, i felt so touched that i almost cry, but i tried to control myself. now both of the girls wanted to play with my fon. i told them nicely that its not something to be played. i asked them to stand together for me to take a pic of them instead. the malay girl asked me to give a copy of the pic to her (alright girl, insya allah i will give it to your teacher when i come back in about another two weeks or so). i kissed both of their cheeks before i go. i felt more touched when they smiled back at me.

fyi, my former primary school now has about four or five co-add classes specially for special kids. during my time, it has only one class. they deserved to go to school to have good educations too.

RM100 gone, for a good deed (?)

gosh... i am about to go home, but i have to post this first. both my kids are waiting for me. i am bringing them to town shortly.

this morning i read DNAS' post with sorry. i know its hard for her as i faced a same kind of situation at my former work place before... duh!*...

about 1/2 an hour ago a guy from ipoh came in to my office. he is supposed to have a brain operation (i think) next week at assunta hospital in pj. the operation would cost him about RM50,000. he showed me all the supporting documents from the hospital. also some letters from schools in perak that donated some monies for him. it seems that he needed another RM500. many times he told me that i could give him what ever amount i wish to as 'derma ikhlas'. this is my weakness. i can't see all this kind of thingy. what when he showed me his sad face. so i told him that i'll donate RM100. i took-out two pieces of RM50 note from my blue butterfly wallet placed in my hand-bang. i handed the money to him. he thanked me few times. before he left, he wrote-down his telephone number in ipoh. he asked me to contact me if i ever have any problems (?) oikk?...

why always me?!!!

don't they all know by now that i have commitments too? why they always think that they could just ask me to go here and there. as though like i do not have any other plans with my kids. i was so fed-up mann... no way am gonna listen to all your craps anymore. i did my own thing today. i'll try my best to do IT tomorrow. what would i get in return? grr...

one of the best thing i did today was doing the manicure (see pics). kids went to mph while i was at the salon. can you all spot the butterfly people? cute kan.

megat's 7th birthday

megat turns 7 today! unfortunately i had to attend a company seminar in sunway hotel, seberang jaya with my dad and a staff this morning. i kissed and hugged megat before i go this morning. but then he continued his sleep. whatever it is i have explained this to megat since last week. luckily he is already big enough to understand the situation. also lucky me that the function only held until lunch time. at least i could spend the other half of the day with my kids.

i asked dad to dropped-by at secret recipe in auto city, seberang jaya. that was my first time there actually. hmm... no wonder its called auto city- shops there only sell vehicles and f&b lol. i bought a lemon cheese cake. too bad by the time we reached home, the toppings melted. ahh... who cares. its the love that matters. two of megat's cousins joined us in the evening. you could see them in the pictures, so cheeky and naughty ;)

we just had a very simple celebration this time. my grandma (megat's lau po-po), one of my sister and an auntie and her family are in europe that's why. anyhow my sister did call me when i was still in sj. maybe she thought that megat was with me. but later she called puteri's fon, to wish megat happy birthday. maybe someday i still need to plan another celebration with other family members and megat's friends. that's what grandma has been thinking. anyway we'll see how...

megat already started receiving birthday messages and gifts from few days ago. my dad bought him a digital camera on tuesday. he (dad) gave it to megat straight away after he came back that day. dad really had no patience at all, can't even wait for the big day.

yesterday, we met leilanie in ipoh. we were a bit late, as we only went there after puteri finished her extra class in school. they waited for us at the parking area outside kinta city, while eating kuaci, i tell you. we then went to a coffee shop in canning garden. we didn't manage to eat ipoh hor fun as the stall already closed. sorry dear, probably because of our lateness. before we adjourned, leilanie gave megat his birthday present. megat can't wait to open it on the actual day you know. he remembered leilanie's advised to only open it on megat's birthday. he even placed the wrapped gift besides him when he slept that night. sweet huh?!! megat told me that he unwrap the gift this morning. thank you so much dear. megat loves the book so much- 366 amazing facts. puteri also received something from leilanie- two butterfly hair clips. she really loves them so much. she even wore it right away. for us, i gave leilanie the shortbread biscuit that we baked the night before. i understand that she loves shortbread!

from vienna with love

i received a sms from adik illa about an hour ago. she flied last night at 11.50pm from KLIA for +/- 10 days holiday i think, in austria (cousin sarah's). she went there with auntie mia and family and also our grand-mother ~

"we hv arrived at vienna airport. now freshen up b4 take 2hrs train journey to wels. kirim salam 2 everybody ".

auww... how i wish that i could follow them. its alright, someday kuE, someday... lol ;)

btw i woke-up very early this morning although the 2-weeks school holiday starts today. i guess maybe because i have use to it already. thus... i did some baking! at least there was something different for breakfast. this time i baked mud cup cakes. kids really lurve it hmm...

kuE's secret revealed

i blog about a friend who was asking about my secret few weeks ago. tadaa... here's the place people, where i get my supplies. its called ambiance located at the bsc. i met my sister there around 7pm on saturday. as usual, i bought some aromatheraphy soaps for myself. at the same time we bought some bithday presents for our cousin too. that shop is a MUST-go-place for me whenever i go to kl. now that you all have known my secret, why don't you try it yourself. once you try it you never wanna stop, i bet you.

from bangsar, we headed back to our auntie's place in ttdi. that was our meeting point before we went out together with all the other girl cousins for some saturday night out at la bodega in jalan telawi. the night was meant to celebrate those who had their birthdays in may including me! it was really a blast- we had so much fun together. thank you so much to all my wonderful sisters and cousins for the great night. it seems that they purposely chose that night because they knew that i would be coming over ;)

earlier that day i met my beloved friend rose at the curve. sheryl was supposed to be there too but she has some more important matters to attend to. its alright darling, just take care of yourself. there's always another time. with rose, i feel like there's that special bonding between us. we really had a great time that evening. i guess its all thanks to camus for tracking me! rose gave me a butterfly shawl (its definitely beautiful darling). she also passed me a lovely present from CK- a set of chomel' purple stone of butterfly necklace and bracelet. darn! i was damn surprised. its so nice of you two darlings. i hope that this friendship will last forever. thank you so much mwahhh.....

guess what people. i went back to the curve on the next day (yesterday). i found a cute purple colour butterfly handbag at MJ. gosh! that would matched my gift from CK. i could also wear them during my lil' bro's engagement day next month. without much thinking, i straight away grabbed and paid it. solved a problem ;)

o yea, the above shortbread biscuit was the one i baked for rose' kids. i hope that they like it.

don't cry my baby

i make both puteri and megat cried yesterday huhu... its all just because i gave the shortbread biscuit for auntie yan's birthday (their bah i.e. grand-auntie) that morning with my mom. initially they wished to send it together with me but too bad they didn't let me know. thus i assumed that they do not bother. i should have asked and confirmed with them earlier. i am so sorry dearies, i won't do it again.

we baked the shortbread biscuits the night before. it was the same one like what we did for megat's teacher except that i wrote "happy birthday" with the butter icing on it, along with a butterfly. yes it was auntie yan's birthday yesterday.

i went out to town with mom yesteday morning to get a birthday present for auntie yan. then we went to auntie yan's place. unfortunately both auntie yan and hubby were not in (padan muka, tu lar nak buat surprise konon lol) . we went back to town to settle some errants. when it was almost 11.45am, we went to auntie yan's hubby's work place (he should be in by that time) to ask him of her whereabout. yippee... she was not far from us. we were told that she was at one of the hair-saloon in town. so we went there and surprised her with a present and the shortbread biscuit. how happy we were that she was really surprised.

"wah... sedap ni, balik boleh makan", she said.

from there, we fetch megat and puteri from school.

as soon as we reached home, puteri asked me, "where's bah's biscuit?".

"i have already surprised bah this morning", i replied.

"what lar mama. i wanna send it to her too with you and adik", puteri said. she cried.

this followed by megat while crying, "adik also wanna send it to bah".

i felt down-hearted and sad too. mom suggested them to make a hand-made birthday card for their bah after lunch. then i could bring them to see their bah after megat's mandarin tuition class. it was so hard to please them you know. puteri went upstairs into her room, continued crying. everyone were so quiet during lunch.

about an hour before i fetch megat, i asked puteri to freshen herself. she was still down-hearted, doesn't want to go. so i asked grandma this time. we were already in my 4wd. suddenly my fon rang. it was puteri. she changed her mind! i was sooo happy. we were at auntie yan's place until 9 something. grandma told auntie yan about the incident ;)

my birthday & mother's day

how was your weekend people. i hope you were all enjoying yourselves with your loved ones. to all mothers around the globe, i hope that its still not too late for us- puteri, megat and me to wish everyone a "happy mother's day". THE job are endless with NO pay nothing. you all have done a GREAT job. congratulations!

while for us here, we have decided to celebrate my birthday and the mother's day just the three of us elsewhere some day. i would like to say thank you so much to my puteri and megat for being such a wonderful kids who could understand their mother's condition so much mwahh...

its not that i cannot bring them out yesterday after puteri's sunday upsr workshop. 1pm is already a good enough time for us to go for an outing but the thing is we usually went to ipoh from morning and we enjoyed ourselves one whole day. the other problem was that i didn't have enough sleep, so i was doozing around like zombies.

alright i will tell you why i was damn sleepy yesterday. my mom and me went to my aunt's place (whose also my god-mother and winnie's mom) in ipoh the night before (saturday). i could say that it was a ladies night for us. the guest of honour with her entourage reached there at almost 11.30pm, after attending a wedding of a former local newscaster (i guess no need for me to tell the whose who here). then there were this first sessions of the event i.e. speeches, syair reading and also those gift giving sort of thingy. the best part that i like during that session was the fashion show of the models showing off the clothes from the 9 districts of perak. they were absolutely wonderful i tell ya.

around 12.30 midnight, all guest were requested to adjourn to the dining hall for supper (?). the emcee for this session was the well-known mahadhir lokman. the food were awesome! its not strange for us as the caterer was none other than the casuarina hotel. we were entertained by a local 3-piece band i think. they sang all kinds of music genres suitable for elderly ladies except hip-hop lol. maybe 1/2 an hr after that, we were surprised by the appearance of our very own raja gelek dato' m daud kilau with his shocking red outfit wah... he sang a few of his songs. we were also surprised by the cute gift given to all of us by the guest of honour (see the left pic). cute, nice and beautiful right. then the band continued to perform for us. at this stage, the guest were started dancing on the dance floor, as requested by the emcee. also the best thing was the pocho-pocho dance thats quite famous nowadays. i dunno the steps but i just went onto the dance floor and followed them. i think i should have learn it someday lor. i remember there's a policewoman asking me to join them some time ago. maybe i'll join them for a start ;)

we really enjoyed ourselves until we didn't realize it that the time already passed 3.30am (hehe... juz like my old younger days huh?!! but with a different version lol)! since it was already so late, my auntie asked us to sleep there first. i managed to sleep at 5am for two hours. my mom woke me up. if not i do not think that i would wakes up by then. by the time we reached here, it was alreay about 9am. luckily both my sister came back for the long weekend. one of them helped me to send puteri to school.

on saturday which was also my birthday, i was just relaxing at home with my family. my god-father came so that's why we can't go out that day too. anyhow, one of my sister baked scone for us for breakfast. oh... it was so tempting especially when it served hot. i received some birthday cards from my family members, also from some quilting friends from other countries. i adore a hand-made one from megat. he also make a flower for me using a paper and straw, helped by his grandma. although i didn't receive much gift but i like them so much 'cuz its my most precious gift given to me by my loved ones. its not the thing/gift that matters but their thoughts and loves.

i watched a hindi movie after lunch. hehe... so long never watched hindi movie yea. when my mom passed-by me, she suggested me to have a nap as i would be going to ipoh with her that night. it seems that she afraid that i might be sleepy thus cannot drive. so i did. i went up to my room, switched-on the air-cond and i slept like sleeping beauty. 'till my grandma woke me up for a fon call from a friend. she called to wish me for my birthday. of course i can't get back to sleep then as it was almost maghrib. so i joined grandma at the patio. i saw there were already some goodies on our dining table i.e. fried meehoon, cream-puff etc. no one mentioned anything. i didn't even dare to ask anyone anything. i just talked with grandma while we were seating on the day-bed. some relatives came soon after. then they surprised me by singing along the birthday song from the kitchen with a birthday cake! auww... i was so touched.

i just would like to say thank you so much everyone for everything. love ya all mwahh...

one for the weekend

after megat went to sleep last night and that puteri also has completed her homework, we put on our baking cap and started to bake.

this time we tried to bake breakfast muffin. we used chocolate chip instead of blue berries. its puteri's choice. she's the type of who do not like fruits much. megat loves our muffin so much! we thought of baking this again next time but with an additional of chopped almonds.

...and by 7am, they were already on our breakfast table ;)
