sa wa de ka...

now, this is a good excuse for me to go to bangkok someday, hopefully very soon... yay!

about 1+ weeks ago i blog about my meet with my good friend lynn, that i finally met again via facebook, the most popular networking site at the moment. while just now, i accepted another invitation via facebook too. this time from idora, whose kind of my second cousin. i knew that she is staying abroad with her caucasian husband, who is a chef with an international hotel. the only thing was, i dunno of where exactly they are right now. previously they were in dubai, then jakarta. i didn't expect at all that i am gonna meet her here in the cyber world too hehe... these are all thanx to the wonders of word wide web!

as soon as we (idora and i) have connected to each other, we started to write among ourselves; mainly to update each other on whats happening around us.

alright then bangkok... wait for kuE's arrival will you? :P

fyi i arrived yesterday to bring cupcakes ordered by my cousin-in-law kak zaireen's friend. click here to view pics of the cupcakes. if i'm not mistaken they gonna bring the cupcakes to a function in an international school in the city. its NOT for a boy's birthday as what kak zaireen thought earlier hehe... never mind lor... whatever it is i really hope that they gonna like my cupcakes, not juz for the frosting but the cupcakes itself too. as i believe that the taste of the cupcakes are rather important too! :)

alright people, i will be back here next week to watch live & loud '07. music also is part of my passion. the world will be damn quiet anyway without it. o yes... am bringing more cupcakes next week too insya Allah ;)

till then... ciao!

not again (with my N76)!

...this time at starbucks, ikano with my sister. we will go back after this. then i will be driving off back home after freshen up myself. actually... even though i would always feel good to be away from home once in a while, but without both my puteri and megat, its really hard i tell u. the feelings of missing them... argghhh... only He knows! anyhow, i am so lucky that they are very understanding. they know that their mama needs some time for herself too-- "tq darling... both of you are part of my heart n' soul".

first time via my N76

halo world! here i am, waiting for S & L for a lunch date, at madam kwan's, pavilion kl.

at the meantime, i am trying out to blog from my new N76 for the first time... yay! tqsm to aaron, a maxis customer service rep at their branch here. he helped me to do the setting. i managed to do it myself for my previous fon, but this one, i tak reti ler... blek!

wokay ler... they are here now, byeee!!!...

the day i met lynn again

here's a cute lil' poem for my forever friends...

sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.
someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
someone who convinces you
that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.

this is forever friendship.
when you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full.
your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, the sad times,
and the confused times.
your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that
everything is going to be okay.
and if you find such a friend,
you feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.
you have a forever friend for life,
and forever has no end.

lynn & i

this is one of the most happiest day of my life! the day i met lynn, my very good friend ever again. we were separated for 10 years or so. i finally found her recently at her friend mira's facebook.

earlier of the day, i attended a christmas cupcakes class at ICCA in section 14, pj. at the same time i took the chance for a meet with lynn.

o yes... first of all, before i forgot... i would also like to thank my lovely sis CK for asking me to join facebook. if not of her who persuaded me to register there, i do not think i would find lynn by now. tqsm sis!

so when i saw lynn's pic in mira's album, i told myself that luckily i knew mira too. lynn is not much into IT. lynn promised me to get herself more involve into puter after this hehe...

as you could see from the above pic (taken by lynn's hubby of eight years), we looked radiantly happy together. a one hour plus meet was just not enough. we surely gonna meet more again after this. apparently that was supposed to be a surprise meet. unfortunately mira was damn busy that day till late evening, that she called lynn earlier to tell her about it. lynn called me instead. i answered to the unknown number cuz i thought maybe mira was calling. how happy i was that time when i heard lynn's voice, only He knows! lynn came with her hubby and their four years old son adam.

to cut the story short for you people, lynn and i were together during our holiday villa days since 1989. she was also the one who helped me during my ups and downs life that time. whats more when i was having my hard times with my ex-husband. she was always there for me. after a few years together, she joined kl's shang. then maybe we lost contact few years after that, i really can't recall that moment. and here we were together, met again at shang's lobby lounge. i am the most happiest woman in the world right now!

till then people, have a great night. i am going to bed now even though i do not think that i could sleep yet, as i am still feeling on top of the world. i am going to force myself to sleep anyway. there's a lunch appointment tomorrow with another someone special in my life. nite-nite people!

the time is gold

do i look mad in the pic people? ya sure... tell me people... who wouldn't get mad right, when someone whose being a guest of honour at a formal function, turned up late grr... tell you what people -- i feel so excited to attend a christmas cupcakes class at ICCA in section 14, pj, tomorrow morning, but i am still here! fyi i have registered for the course way months ago. thus i thought maybe i could come earlier, as i am quite free also now. too bad i only knew about this school function last week, during our PTA committee meeting. then i went arrgghhhhh..... anyhow since our president cannot be there (he's having a course in kl), i told myself, as a vice president of the school's PTA that i have to attend it no matter what. on the other hand, the HM told me that i have to deliver the opening speech instead... blek! :P

so i make the point to be at the school as early as possible. i even asked my dad to help me to fetch puteri for me. we were waiting for the guest of honour at the entrance when suddenly a teacher came to tell us that our guest of honour called that he was still in ipoh and asked us to carry on with the function first. i was like whispered to myself, "WTF!!! you knew that you were supposed to be the guest of honour, but you treat this like sh*t. my... you think you are meeting your friends?". i just smiled, but in my heart hmm... only He knows hehe...

the function started at 2.35 pm without the guest of honour. he only came about an hour later. i was more hangin when he came in an in proper dress code :P this makes me lazy to talk more about this guy. to add up to it, he greeted our PTA's president in his speech! wa lau ley... in the programme book already clearly stated there that i was the one whose gonna deliver the opening speech. thus its understood ler kan... or else ask ler if u dunno grr... that guy really didnt prepare anything before his appearance. i just don't think he has a good etiquette. why ler we have this kind of people in the world.

alright... what ever it is, i am glad that my opening speech (in malay) were delivered fine and okay ;) i was kinda nervous actually in the first place but alhamdulillah... everything turned out to be okay. i myself was surprised that i could do it. you know what people. i seldom do such thing i.e. standing at the rostrum (as per the above pic), deliver a speech in public. i have only became mc for some company's function. as you could see, for me, being an mc and delivering a speech in the public are two different important jobs. i think i love to be an mc more. besides that, i am more to behind the scene job. its okay ler... as long as things all under control hehe... amin.

owh... can't wait to be in kl tomorrow, to meet someone special in my life ;)

finally...

i found her... yay! i remember i told my sis sheryl once before that i was looking for her high and low, ever since i left kl life. i even asked her (sheryl) to let me know if she came across this lady. i shall blog about how and when i found her in my next post. so, anyone out there in klang valley happened to know her? as for now i can sleep well, safe and sound :) and before i forgot, i wanna thank Him for this. till then... nite-nite!

deepavali mood...

we celebrated deepavali at our gardener, pakcik (uncle) dore's place this morning +/- 11.30 am. usually he will get his children to send us the delicious delicacies that his wife cooked i.e. tose (sorry i dunno the correct spelling, thus can't even find a link), murukku, etc. it seems that this time his children already drove off just before we reached there at their place lol... eventually the children came back, and we still brought home the food hehe... hmm... double times eating of the tose... yummy... yay!

deepavali mood...

moonstone -- stone of emotional balance

when we were in penang last sunday, we never let go the chance to drop-by none other than queensbay mall... yay!!! unfortunately the situation was not the same this time as there was my nephew didin with us. he was the hyper type argghhh!!!... i had to use the child rope/string to tie his hand with mine :| he only sat still during the disney magic show ler... i guess that must be my first and last time for me to bring him out haha!...

so we only went for lunch at the chicken rice shop, although we were so wanted to go to tgif. but when we wanted to go back, i saw that one of my favourite shops there, serene was on sale. there were signs of 50%!!! so i was like, "wow!!! i gotta have them. its the chances that we can't let go!". as you could see i am not that fan of gold so much. i prefer silver or gemstone. apparently, you could count of how many gold items in my collection in one hand only lol... grandmother took didin from me and asked him to sit outside a video shop next to serene. he watched the cartoons there. thank god!

i fell for blue moonstone bangles (refer right pic below). before that i bought a green stone (i can't remember the name of the stone -- not jade) earring at RM30+ only (after 70% discount). what a good price huh?!! when i was about to take out my money, then only i saw the blue moonstone in the glass display counter. i tried a few. then wore the round one right away! it costs me at RM300 only, after a 50% discount. it was definitely a good price. the chinese lady that entertained me was so nice and helpful. i like her. but i dunno her name ;) she explained to me the descriptions of the blue moonstone in details. mom told me that a chinese guy from the shop told her that the lady is a geologist. it seems even the guy also dunno much like her. no wonder she knows everything about gemstones! jusk ask... she could answer you instantly i tell you! hehe...

now i shall write about the stone as what i have been told by the chinese lady. i hope that i won't miss anything lol...

color: white

usually milky with a bluish or yellowish tint. translucent with white, pink, yellow, soft sheen.

metaphysical:

moonstone helps to soothe and balance the emotions. they assist in the master of your emotions by bringing them under control of your will, instead of repressing or expressing them. moonstone represents the great mother goddess. her strength lies in her gentleness, and her ability to experience, process, and neutralize her feelings.

a stone of wishes, intuition, and balance. helps all be more comfortable with our gentler feminine side. brings to you all that is needed.

discernment:

"want" and need" do not come from the same place. moonstone can assist you in absorbing those things that are “needed” in life while helping you discern what is merely “wanted”.

some people think that moonstone is strictly a feminine stone, because it is associated with a woman's monthly cycle. but nurturing, gentle care, and unselfish humanitarian service is not simply a female attribute.

moonstone can unblock those feelings in both men AND women who are afraid to acknowledge or experience consciously how they feel on a personal and internal level.

this is a great stone for doctors, nurses, technicians, and other health care workers, who sometimes feel they must repress much of what they feel in order to function more effectively, at the expense of gentleness that comes with empathy and compassion.

it will bring emotions and feelings under ones control without becoming hardened to the human suffering they see on a daily basis.

moonstone will help achieve a balance between heart and mind without losing the gentleness and caring needed, yet keep it in check to allow you to function effectively.

moonstone can come to the aid of many executives, who have sacrificed feeling emotionally connected to the people that work for them in an effort to function more efficiently, only to find that his employees now are difficult to work with and have little loyalty because of his detachment. you can rebuild a caring environment while maintaining order by allowing yourself to get in touch with the emotional aspects of management.

unhappy workers who feel you are distant and detached are not productive employees. slip a piece of moonstone in your pocket to remind you to take the time to ponder decisions from all aspects.

in the eastern cultures, moonstone was favored for LOVE. they believed that wearing or carrying a moonstone would bring a new love into your life. they also believe that holding a piece of moonstone over their hearts after a quarrel, and then exchanging the stones with each other, would bring you back together.

like moss agate, malachite, and jade (click here to view mine that i bought from my beijing trip), moonstone is associated with gardening. all four are attributed to nature, water, and fertilization. wear during planting, weeding, or watering, and visualize your garden bursting with fertility as you work. hang a small wind chime and dangle these stones over your garden, or bury a few small pebbles in the earth.

because of the way it travels thru the zodiac, moonstone is also considered a protective stone while traveling, especially at night or on the water. the perfect stone for swimmers, sailors and going on vacation cruises.

many people who work with tarot cards, runes, crystal balls, medicine cards or any other type of divining tool, keep a moonstone with them to heighten intuition and perceptions while working with them.

moonstone fosters happiness, gracefulness, good fortune, hope, spiritual insight, easy childbirth, safe travel on water, new beginnings and adjusting to changes, abundance and ancient wisdom. especially for water signs. motherly love, support, encouragement.

  • this stone gets us in touch with our feelings and is linked with the moon.
  • moonstone is protective of women and nature, and is a sacred stone of the moon goddess.
  • new beginnings, re-birth.
  • absorbs pain and illness.

physical:

women's hormones/menstrual imbalance, lymph. regenerates the tissues and organs. heals reproductive system.

careers:

health care: doctors, nurses, technicians, and other health care workers

other: sailors, coast guard

activities: gardening, vacation cruises, swimming, water sports

element: water

direction: west

day: friday

2nd and 6th chakras

vibrates to the number 4

4th Ray

colour: white

short definition:

moonstone represents the great mother goddess. her strength lies in her gentleness, and her ability to experience, process, and neutralize her feelings.

a stone of wishes, intuition, and balance. helps all be more comfortable with our gentler feminine side. brings to you all that is needed.

pussy & his toy

this is a short video of our cat named pussy, who was playing with his toy. eventually if you see it properly, part of this has became pussy's toy lol...

these are a few reasons of why i am posting this--
  • to let all you people see of how our cat could bring his toy from outside, then in to the cage.
  • i wanna show-off the video function available in my oly! hehe...

well actually i have been wanted to try the new features on blogger, video uploading, for quite some time. fyi the above video has been taken about a few weeks ago. that shows of how long i have been trying to load the video directly from blogger. unfortunately i am not available to do so on my side here. other bloggers have been blogging about it everywhere i.e. here, here, here and many more. then i found a new video uploading site. this seems to be ok... yay!

abracadabra!

like what i mentioned last night, we were in penang today for disney live! mickey's magic show, at penang international sports arena (pisa). click here to see the show times in kl. like i mentioned before too, the show started at 11 am sharp!

i found the map of pisa online (right pic) and printed it out immediately before i sign-off last night. sorry i forgot to save the web address for me to place a link here. guess what people. we were one of the few people to arrive there early.you know... its my style that i will make sure that i will be there early for events like that, especially when that was the first time i went there ;) anyhow i didn't use the printed map much as the arena is so easy to find. i knew that its further up after the equatorial hotel junction. then we saw a sign board to the arena only a few blocks away on the left.

the gate only opened at 10.15 am for the 11 am show. megat was the one whose so excited. also his cousin, didin whose also is shahriman's brother. as you could see this time i brought didin because i have already brought shahriman to the last disney's show we went.

although we seated in the first row, i didn't want to take the risk to take any pics at all. the security people this time were very strict. in fact i warned the kids of not to say anything if any of the security questioned me about it. so i lied to them when were at the entrance door to the premium category seats, for them to check our tickets *phew* i hate to loose my oly i tell you. its safely kept in my handbag where ever i go ;) i never leave home without it ever since i bought it! i saw three cases in front of my very own eyes, where almost all of them, the security placed the digital cameras in a plastic bag. they took down the digicam/video cam owners particulars. they (the camera owners) were advised to take their items at counter number four, located near the ticket counter outside, after the show ends.

kids were lucky that we seated in the front row. what when the illusionist brad ross, came to us about 30 mins before the show started. he placed a pair of pink rubber shoes in between didin and me. owh... how i wished that i could captured that moment in pics. it seems that the shoe was for one of his tricks then. we enjoyed the magic show so much. we didn't realize it until brad came back to us when he wanted to find a pair of shoe for the magic session of cinderella's shoe ;) he turned the shoe in to cinderella's glass shoe hehe...

over all, all-in-all i could described the show in one word as fantastic! all kinds of people would definitely enjoyed them. every thing was perfect! the performances, dances, props etc. the interaction with audience were of a first class standard. who doesn't love mickey & friends right?

regards to the premium tickets, i only paid about 30% less of the published rates. the best thing was to be one of the 'early birds'. i bought my tickets online last august. then pr worldwide, penang send the tickets to me via courier with no extra charge. fyi the prices are better here online. same goes to any other bookings i.e. hotels, theme parks etc. i even bought sunway tambun tickets online. thats where i realized that buying tickets online are better. hmm... some people teased me for buying the tickets for today's show too early. well thats the trick people... for us to get good prices too! correct me if i am wrong :)

kuE's note: read more about the magic show here.

of punctuality

we have been invited by megat's former kindergarten teacher to their yearly concert at 8pm sharp. do you all people know that for chinese people here, also the one that i have known all this while... when they said 8pm sharp, they really mean it. take note that i said chinese people here, cuz i dunno about other places. but i guess all chinese are the same (?). they are really particular about punctuality. read about 'how to be punctual' here.

megat and i arrived at the tsung wah's primary school hall late, about less than 10 mins after 8pm. the function already started by then with prize giving ceremony first. then followed by speech by three kids in three languages i.e. mandarin, malay and english (refer first video). megat has done that before, during his last year in kindergarten. he presented the mandarin speech. i didn't manage to post the pics that time sorry. maybe i will do it one of these days, to pay-off everything that i owe ;) i didn't realize it at all, until i glanced thru the post for me to place the link here :)

1. 2.

the second video showed a group of the kindergarten kids singing a few songs, just like past years.

besides the two videos, here's some pics of megat with his former teachers--

alright then for now... i guess i better call this a night as we are heading to penang (especially here for the first time) early tomorrow morning. can you all people guess of what we gonna do. one hint: those people (for tomorrow's event) are particular about punctuality too. every time i am going to such event, i would always make sure that i will be there on time (like all the previous events i went, even with the kids). don't forget to watch this space tomorrow occay? for more great pics insya allah :D

the day lela got married

lela is a workmate from another trading area. thats why i dunno whose her other half at all. unlike faizal, azah's husband. but then... well, since i got an invitation and am a kinda free, i thought that i just have to go, accompanied by megat, my hero ;)

guess what people. i was in pink, just like the wedding's colour theme hehe...

o yea... unfortunately
ween called when i was getting ready to go to ipoh this morning. if only i knew that you are coming to this territory much earlier, i would have rearrange my schedule i.e. go to lela's wedding early, to spent time with you after that. who knows, if you could just come over for us to do some baking together-gather :D well, its alright lar... i guess its no rezeki for us to meet yet, maybe some other time... insya allah.

p/s check-out my butterfly earring with pink colour pearls people... (click on the pic for a larger view). cute kan? ahak! am the one whose cute or the earring? hahhahaa... kechik, take note that i love pearls too! ;)

kuE's note: all pics taken by megat.
