i was in red baju kurung this morning for a function in school, with pearl necklace, white handbag and matching white shoes. some of the school children (especially those in year one) who doesn't know me yet thought that i am a teacher!"assalamualaikum cikgu. cikgu cantik...", greeted them, when i walked by ;)oik... ada ka? lol... so do i look like one anyway people hehe...well, luckily both puteri and megat backed early today. i had another shower after we reached home around 2pm. this time i wore pink baju kurung. i know its seldom teachers in school saw me in that type of attire. like this morning, when i salam with one of them, she told me, "you look so cute...". cute ke? hehe... i normally wear my jacket suit or something ;) i had all those during my office life in kl many years back. so rather than i keep them in my wardrobe, its better for me to wear them for any special and suitable occasions right.alright. about the PTA AGM at puteri's school, all the members agreed to appoint me as one of the committee members. and now that i am holding two different positions in two different schools, i am sure that i am gonna be a bit busy for the financial year 2008/09. basically, planning and promoting PTA programmes and events is one of the most important responsibilities in a PTA. the PTA works to support the school's educational goals, to provide a safe and healthy learning environment, to enrich the learning experience, and to enhance the mutual understanding among the parents, and teachers. for the past years, both of the school's PTA have been playing a very important role in supporting education, operation, and administration, as well as safeguarding students and organizing community events.with that rather good explanation, i dunno of why there are still some parents who do not have the initiative to attend PTA AGM. its only done once a year! so what's up with that. that's a very good time for parents and teachers to discuss things together. some even pull out when their name been selected for one of the nominees for the committee member, yet not even voted that time. don't they realize that we are doing this for our generations. we want them to succeed. so what's with me whose still the PTA vice president of my former primary school right? puteri do not study there no more. i do not even have kids there also. one thing that's always wandering around my mind-- i studied there before, and that i love my school so much. i want to help the teachers to make our school proud and succeed in whatever we do. i had received feedbacks that those are not monetize job (?). excuse me... i have given my reasons above, and that's about it. i do not need money to help the community. i look for my side income elsewhere, i.e. ventured into paid post for this blog and my baking blog too ;)so what say you people?
do i look mad in the pic people? ya sure... tell me people... who wouldn't get mad right, when someone whose being a guest of honour at a formal function, turned up late grr... tell you what people -- i feel so excited to attend a christmas cupcakes class at ICCA in section 14, pj, tomorrow morning, but i am still here! fyi i have registered for the course way months ago. thus i thought maybe i could come earlier, as i am quite free also now. too bad i only knew about this school function last week, during our PTA committee meeting. then i went arrgghhhhh..... anyhow since our president cannot be there (he's having a course in kl), i told myself, as a vice president of the school's PTA that i have to attend it no matter what. on the other hand, the HM told me that i have to deliver the opening speech instead... blek! :P
so i make the point to be at the school as early as possible. i even asked my dad to help me to fetch puteri for me. we were waiting for the guest of honour at the entrance when suddenly a teacher came to tell us that our guest of honour called that he was still in ipoh and asked us to carry on with the function first. i was like whispered to myself, "WTF!!! you knew that you were supposed to be the guest of honour, but you treat this like sh*t. my... you think you are meeting your friends?". i just smiled, but in my heart hmm... only He knows hehe...
the function started at 2.35 pm without the guest of honour. he only came about an hour later. i was more hangin when he came in an in proper dress code :P this makes me lazy to talk more about this guy. to add up to it, he greeted our PTA's president in his speech! wa lau ley... in the programme book already clearly stated there that i was the one whose gonna deliver the opening speech. thus its understood ler kan... or else ask ler if u dunno grr... that guy really didnt prepare anything before his appearance. i just don't think he has a good etiquette. why ler we have this kind of people in the world.
alright... what ever it is, i am glad that my opening speech (in malay) were delivered fine and okay ;) i was kinda nervous actually in the first place but alhamdulillah... everything turned out to be okay. i myself was surprised that i could do it. you know what people. i seldom do such thing i.e. standing at the rostrum (as per the above pic), deliver a speech in public. i have only became mc for some company's function. as you could see, for me, being an mc and delivering a speech in the public are two different important jobs. i think i love to be an mc more. besides that, i am more to behind the scene job. its okay ler... as long as things all under control hehe... amin.
owh... can't wait to be in kl tomorrow, to meet someone special in my life ;)
i was a bit mad at an indian guy this morning in puteri's school. i was just mentioning about this last week during the school's anuual pta meeting. i highly stressed to everyone no matter parents or teachers about local people's driving etiquette. this is because i could see people were driving their vehicles in school area/compound like no one business, didn't even care about those kids who walk or cycle to school. alright, i admit that i drive damn fast BUT only on highways! when it comes to school matters, i could automatically change my driving style.
i was still at this usual corner this morning although puteri already walked-in the school. the reason that i was still there because i was giving ways for the school kids who walk. suddenly this indian guy from my left side honked me loudly. so i showed him the situation infront of me. he doesn't understand. then i wind-down my left side 4wd' window and told him, "aloo... boleh sabar tak? kita kena lar bagi budak-budak sekolah jalan dulu. you ada paham tak?". wow... kuE so brave meh? he kept quiet. a lady saw me with surprised lol. that incident also reminds me of zuhri's post- 'start with the pebble under my feet'. hmm... a good one indeed. but for me, i do not think that indian guy knows about all this manners or moral values thingy ;)
