my sweetheart smells like 'fresh'

width="299"

gosh! to tell you people the truth its not an easy task for me to talk about 'him'. our characters are a bit different~ as you could see i am an avid blogger, who never leaves home without her oly i tell you (you should understand this statement by now). while he, prefer to be discreet. thats why you didn't see me blog about him. geddit?

alrighto... anyway he is not using adidas action 3 product. more over i do not think that he is aware of the existence of it yet... hah! but i will surely recommend him to start to use it, especially after he goes for his swimming.

i dunno about him. but for me, i guess i prefer him to put on 'fresh'. from what i know~
  • it has 24 hour protection against perspiration

  • new dry max system technology for extra wetness absorption

  • cooling fragrance that will leave him with that just showered feeling when the heat is on

  • special anti-whitening material to minimize white marks on skin and clothes

  • it contains 0% alcohol - PH resspect - dermo-tested

now i will see whether i can easily persuade him to try this product. besides that it is easily available in any drug/mart store of course ;)

nuffnang special screening: prince of persia: the sands of time

i was rather lucky though to be selected to join nuffnang special screening of prince of persia: the sands of time the other night. its all thanks to the simple-and-dunno-what-crazy slogan i posted... hiks!

alrighto. why this screening was special. that's because nuffnangers has been treated to an exclusive ‘snack & screen’ session courtesy of mister potato! andre yaa andre ya riba riba...

P5272985

here's me with nicholas

P5272987

with my cousin nivin

P5272988

and another with nicholas, this time with rina too :))

alright, i guess let's see what i think about this movie though:

with the greasy, unkempt hair of an emo rocker and a bart simpson smirk, 'the prince' goes swinging, leaping, slashing and joking his way through 'prince of persia: the sands of time', an energetic if empty-headed adventure based on the popular video game. though set in a sea of sand that's supposed to be ancient persia, the movie features a titular hero whose anachronistic catchphrases – "that all ya got?" and "whoa", uttered in an incongruous cockney accent – makes him sound less like a middle eastern prince than an east end pothead.

the focus of prince dastan's acrobatic exertions, which careen from ninja-like moves to the wall-bouncing gymnastics of parkour, is a special dagger he has stumbled upon. when a jewel is pressed on its hilt, releasing the few thimblefuls of sand inside, it has the ability to rewind time, but only for one minute. it's like adam s's magical remote control in "click," but with a weak battery. when you run out of sand, you run out of power.

not just any sand will work, either. hidden underground is a giant glass vessel filled with the right kind. only the dagger can break the glass. once broken, the sand inside will flow through the knife's handle, giving its user virtually unlimited ability to travel backward in time. one more thing: if all the sand is used up, the world will end.

the other problem is that dastan's not the only one who knows about it. someone else wants it – most likely dastan's brother tus or his uncle nizam – and has set dastan up for the murder of his adoptive father, king sharaman. dastan, you see, is not of royal blood, so he makes a logical suspect (it might also explain the low-class accent and his aversion to shampoo). whoever really killed sharaman wants dastan out of the way so that he can find the source of the charmed sand himself and, you know, exert dominion over the blah, blah, blah.

with the assistance of the dagger's official custodian, princess tamina, dastan must stop that from happening. along the way, he and tamina – a spirited, tart-tongued women's libber in a country not known for gender equality – engage in predictable verbal sparring even as they dodge arrows, flying knives, snakes (this one: i don't like! urgghhh...) and hired assassins (called, preposterously, hassansins).

i can't compare this to the video game as i am not into it.

there are, however, a few distinct pleasures. the stunt work is consistently exciting and well filmed, by the director. and the character of seso – a sudanese knife thrower with almost no dialogue who at first appears to be a very bad guy and then turns out to be a very good one – makes a welcome presence.

i wish i could say the same about seso's boss, a bandit who befriends dastan and tamina, and aids them in their quest. played with the broadest of broad humor, he's clearly meant as comic relief. but from what? does a movie this silly really need two clowns?

every sly wink and gymnastic tumble from dastan, who already looks and acts like a refugee from cirque du soleil, seems to suggest otherwise.

now see for yourself and tell me of what you think.

celebrities who stink

width="275"

gosh! this is rather difficult. how do we know of which celebrities need deodorant liao(?)... i do not have an answer here. but if i know of any celebrities who really stink, i would recommend them the adidas action 3 deodorant.

i was attracted to this product because it uses cotton to help absorb perspiration. it contains no aluminum and is non-staining.

i tried the product and was somewhat disappointed. it contains fragrance and i don’t like anything competing with my perfume. however, after using the product, i realized of why it fragrance.

it doesn’t really stop the wetness very well at all. now, i have to admit here i am a pretty bad sweater especially when i do my line dancing. however, i would have had to reapply adidas 24 hour control extra absorption deodorant for Women several times during the day in order for there to be no sweat odor. and that disproves the 24 hour control promise.

after using this product off and on for several months, i have found a use for it. if i run out in the morning without showering (shhh... hiks!), i use this first and the scent helps me feel fresh. so, in that regard, i like having it around.

would i recommend it? yes, especially to people who don’t sweat a lot to begin with, it would probably be great.

i may buy it again, as it is more convenient to find than other natural deodorants. it can be found at any type of mart store.

none of us likes this~

no matter whether this is happening to me, you, you, you, or you! we need to beware of the ones' who speak with a joyful tongue but poses a wicked heart...

there have always been those who take unfair advantage of others, and who appear to live relatively carefree lives in spite of their wickedness. none of us likes to see this.

on the material plane, the wicked may be seen to get away with a lot of bad behavior - even live long and outwardly prosperous lives. but don't be fooled by that. eventually, all unrepentant wickedness is dealt with by god's justice.

we are given a lot of leeway here on this earth... we can choose goodness and live lives of freedom and originality with god, or we can choose evil, and allow wickedness to creep into our lives and distort our souls. but the fruits of these choices are very different. the fruits of the righteous are joy in the spirit, while the wicked lead troubled lives.

trust me people, they will never prosper!

HEY, YOU! CLEAN OUT YOUR HEART AND WALK ON A RIGHTEOUS PATH! YOU DON'T HAVE TO PRAY 5 TIMES A DAY OR ATTEND CHURCH EVERY SUNDAY TO DO THIS EITHER! JUST CHANGE YOUR EVIL WAYS!!! BIG CHUNEEEEEEEEEE!

football=adidas?

width="360"

think football, think adidas!

and its always vise versa~ think adidas, think football!

the name adidas has become synonymous with football itself, with many famous world class football players such as david beckham and steven gerrard wearing the boots on the pitch. but are adidas really amongst the best football boots available and, if so, why?

from the research that i have done on the history of adidas, i merely found out: its a german company that was originally set up by adi dassler to make sport shoes after dassler's return from the first world war. adi originally made the shoes in his mother's kitchen! in 1924 his brother, rudi dassler, joined the company. however, the partnership didn't last long and the two brothers decided to go their own ways in 1948. adi continued to develop adidas and rudi went on to create puma. the fact that both of these brands are still market leaders today is a sure sign of the innovative techniques developed by both brothers and the quality of the shoes. since this time, adidas has specialized more and more on the manufacture of football boots and other football equipment.

adidas has a reputation for making some of the best football boots on the market, making them the manufacturer of choice for many international players. they make exceptional quality boots suitable for everyone, not just top players. if you are an advanced player then you may need the heightened performance of the predator boot. if you are more of a classic player then you may want to consider the pure boot model. or, if you're feeling really extravagant, you may want to create your own perfect boot from the tunit range. no matter what you are looking for in a football boot, adidas is likely to have a boot that fits your feet and your needs perfectly.

NMEDA continues growth as mobility issues amplify

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

width="133"

Buying a wheelchair van is a major investment and there is no room for error. NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association) is a non-profit trade association of mobility equipment dealers, driver rehabilitation specialists, and other professionals dedicated to broadening the opportunities for people with disabilities to drive or be transported in vehicles modified with mobility equipment. All members work together to improve transportation options of people with disabilities.

Apart from a home, a personal vehicle is probably the biggest investment that most individuals make. To protect this investment and have a safe vehicle, look for the NMEDA Quality Assurance Program (QAP) designation in a dealer. Each NMEDA/QAP Dealer member is able to assist consumers in selecting the right modification that is needed. After the sale, consumers can depend on the NMEDA member dealer for expert installation and service of the equipment to keep the consumer mobile.

The Quality Assurance Program (QAP) is a nationally recognized accreditation program for the mobility equipment industry. The program was developed to promote quality, safety, and reliability within the industry. The QAP is the only program of this type developed for the mobility equipment industry. A QAP designation enhances vehicle modification and mobility equipment installation in a manner consistent with the highest guidelines established in the industry.

An accredited NMEDA dealer is one that chooses to participate in the QAP and that is inspected by an independent, third party for compliance with NMEDA guidelines and for review of training, insurance, welding certificates, and record keeping. The QAP designation binds modifiers to guidelines codified in Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, in-house crash testing programs, and proven shop practices that assure the highest level of performance safety.

I believe that it’s important to visit a qualified professional mobility dealer when shopping for wheelchair vans or wheelchair lifts to ensure that the equipment you are investing in is customized properly for your specific needs and lifestyle.

However, even with this wealth of information available, it’s difficult to know if a product such as a customized wheelchair van will work for you before you’ve physically tried it out. Visiting a qualified dealer allows you that "in-person" experience, and in addition, a dealer can also help you find available financing options and any additional adaptive equipment that may be necessary. That’s why I encourage you to visit a local retailer and learn about your options, rather than buying equipment sight-unseen online or from unknown third party resellers. You can easily find a dealer near you by visiting NMEDA homepage, hit the dealers locator and type in your ZIP code... Voila!

I hope that you can feel the support and effort that I am trying to put into maintaining excellence in the industry while researching and purchasing your mobility equipment!

let's help save temengor!

waking up on a beautiful sunday morning to the chirping of birds and hens, i remember that i haven't post this~

P5023014

if you have been my blog readers and followers, i am sure you are all truly aware that i always pledge for us no matter where we are in the globe to save the mother earth! it's not that hard to bring shopping and/(or) recycle bags with us whenever we go shopping. as you could see in the above pic (that was taken about two weeks ago), i brought quite a number of extra shopping bags and placed them all in one! and it's no harm at all for a shop that support environment if you use a different bag other than theirs; the most important thingy is as long as we save the environment i.e. we saved at least a plastic bag! i will show you people a tip of the easiest way to carry more bags, in my upcoming blog post soon... ;)

and now, i pledge everyone to save the temengor too! its located in the northern state of perak, the belum-temengor forest complex, in the state of perak is over 130 million years old, older than the amazon and congo basins, subsequently much more complex in biodiversity.

the contiguous belum-temengor forest spans across a massive 300,000 hectares; approximately four times the size of singapore. it forms the last remaining contiguous tract of forest in peninsular malaysia, which is outside the national protected area system. with a huge diversity of flora and fauna, it allows malaysia to be recognized as one of the 12 mega-biodiversity centres in the world.

we strongly believe that given the opportunity, belum and temengor areas are more valuable under conservation management, rather than being converted to other uses, or developed solely for the extraction of their natural resources.

as such, legal protection of these treasures would go a long way towards sustaining the biological diversity our tropical rain forests.

anyone who wants to support mns in pushing the government to extend protection to temenggor can participate in its ‘save temengor’ campaign which is supported by the body shop.

the petition for temengor's gazettement is at www.thepetitionsite.com/1/savetemengor2010. the petition can also be signed at any the body shop outlets.

*info about temengor is from the body shop.

men will always be men~

150510

when i saw the above' in a friend's fb status this morning, i was like: huh! men(?!!)... duh! ;P

it also reminds me of a girlfriend who, some time ago, had been taken a back exactly just like the statement. she was so regret about it. from what i knew, she was cursing her boyfriend then after she found out that she has been cheated. the boyfriend must got fed-up, the relationship clashed there and then *phew*

why are men in charge? why do men have all the power?

it's not because it's 'normal' or 'natural', i feel it's because too many stupid females are too busy degrading themselves and trying to appeal to men to focus on being treated better or having full respect. the crazy thing is, point out the truth and these same females get so mad. i am a female myself, so i notice stuff that might not be so obvious to the guys.

take a good look. in the cases of many females (TOO many), EVERYTHING they do comes back to pleasing men, appealing to men, and degrading themselves for men. the crazy thing is, it starts so early and it's so ingrained they don't even realize it.

look, i am not bashing men OR women. i am not saying one gender is better or worse than the other. what I AM saying is that it's high time for females everywhere to WAKE UP and stop being complacent so as not to upset men. stop lowering yourselves! stop degrading yourselves!! stop dumbing yourselves down! stop handicapping yourselves! stop lowering your quality of life, or just plain putting it on hold, for men!! stop attacking each other thinking it makes men happy!!

people need to get a clue and the genders need to adopt the best traits of each other instead of one group just copying the worst traits of the other.

when i am damn crazy about 'hoedown throwdown'...

this is what you will get as my slogan:

Rice Crisps by Mister Potato make my day go Hoedown~ Throw it all together, that’s how we roll!!!… ;)

and this is the line dance version. and believe it or not, i lurve to do this dance! i haven't record a video of mine though. wait and see ler... if one of these days i am up to it... ;)

so basically hoedown means a square dance, the music for a square dance, or a social gathering at which square dancing takes place.

the most popular sense of the term is associated with white americans in rural or southeastern parts of the country, particularly appalachia. it is a dance in quick movement most likely related to the jig, reel or clog dance. according to the website "streetswing", a hoedown was a virtuoso display of footwork, where a succession of dancers each tried to outdo the previous dancers. this meant that if the last dancer was the best one the audience would cheer wildly. the implied meaning of "improvised jam" has found its way into other contexts. for an example a rollerblading hoedown is a similar competitive display.

to all you nuffnang glitterati members, submit your slogan now! 150 most creative slogans will win the commenter a pair of invites to the ‘snack & screen’ session of prince of persia on 27 may 2010. not just that, in fact as usual there are many more prizes to be grabbed... woot!
