the day we celebrated boo's birthday...

i just had a nice warm shower lathered with the body shop's quiet night soothing shower cream; ahh!!!... so blissful. for sure i'll sleep like a sleeping beauty tonight... hah!

by the way, i had just arrived home from ipoh a while ago to celebrate my lil' cousin boo's 3rd birthday—

how time flies so damn fast huh?!!... it was like only recently we saw boo's baby pic here in this blog. and now... look at how cute and beautiful of her, just like her mommy! and on last 30th january, oyeen had another lil' girl joined them, sara jasmine.

we had a wonderful time at the party although its just a small and simple one, which was held at oyeen's family place. it was fantastic! all of the kids and adults alike had a blast. it was super fun. boo loves to see her cousins, so she was ecstatic, as well! :o)

i love to go to birthday parties. this is a wonderful opportunity to meet family and friends that we seldom meet.

nuffnang turns 2!

i first knew timothy the co-founder of nuffnang at a penang bloggers meet held at e-gate' starbucks way on 25 february 2007. it has been organized by a cool dude LogicYuan. it was in fact the first bloggers meet that i have attended. even lilian chan was there, then i was like— "sooooo that's 5Xmom!"

i certainly enjoyed myself chatting and camwhoring with other bloggers mainly from penang. well i guess we camwhored more than chatting actually hehee... anyhow that's what bloggers do during a meetup and such right? correct me if i am wrong... and at times i heard they teased tim about 'nuffnang'. i was a bit puzzled though as i dunno a single thing about it yet, okay fine...

then it took me about a few days to find out about nuffnang. so i signed-up on 2 march 2007! to tell you the truth, i didn't generate much of all the years i joined nuffnang because i am just a humble blogger. when i first started this blog in january 2005, eventually it was totally meant as my online journal. i was rather curios of what would be happened if someone found my written journal. so that's basically of how this blog started. and of course a long the way i got to know more and more bloggers no matter locally or from abroad.

i could say that i am kinda tough. eventhough i didn't get much from nuffnang, but since i love what i am doing as a blogger, i try to participate myself in whatever opportunities i could that organized by nuffnang. i am more than happy! with events organized by them, i didn't enjoy them for myself only but sometimes i do shared them with my kids and like recently, i brought rizal to a premiere screening. go here to read more about nuffnang events that i have joined.

nuffnang sharing session @ the apartment downtown— i was so damn mad with this blogger who denied thoroughly when i told him/her(?) about nuffnang's history that i knew and how i knew tim. he/she(?) stressly said that nuffnang was launched sometime in october 2006... huh?!! duh!... eh halo... i know my memory is still very good occay? and that i felt like he/she(?) was trying to under discriminate me or something... blerk!

and tomorrow, without we realized it nuffnang will be turned two!

2. my junior sharifah nita. we went to the same school both in primary and secondary school. she is now living in las vegas with her husband and two kids. we met again via none other than... facebook!!! now you know of how i know these birthdays hehee... well formerly sharifah was working as a flight stewardess with mas from december 1996 to march 2005. the best thing was she worked together with her sister who is very closed with her, and they really look-alike. in fact they went to their first interview together. they were lucky to be chosen and went through the courses together-gather as well. anyhow her sister is still working with the country's leading airlines though.

bah turned 81 today!

bah's fon was kinda hot liao from as early as 7am, started with my lil' sis. everyone from far and near called in to wish her happy birthday. even right until tonight when we were in ipoh. bah's voice was out-of-control. i have to help her to speak to some of them, no harm huh?!!...

not like last year', we just had a very simple but nice and fun buka puasa treat at pakeeza in ipoh. that's also our first buka puasa outside. gosh... looking at THAT post i realized now that i supposed to write the second part of the birthday story but how come i didn't do so?!!... *glurp* wargghhh... i guess its all with the matter of t-i-m-e!

alright to cut the story short, it was my original plan to gather closed family members and friends for bah's surprised lunch-cum-80th-birthday-party-celebration. the actual date was on a sunday, so it was just nice. food were catered by an ipoh caterer that we called pak adam (i'll check-out the company's details. we catered him for my lil' bro's wedding dinner too) and decorations were done by beauty balloon.

i brought bah to penang on saturday morning, along with puteri and megat. all of us kept the secret from megat too, besides bah cuzzzzz... he can't keep a secret lol... so eventually when we arrived home on that sunday afternoon, megat was surprised too! and of course bah was really shocked indeed, seeing her home had been nicely arranged and decorated tents with yellow and purple balloons. go here for a sneak peek of the party pics ;)

o yes.. before i forgot, what do you think of the baju kedah that i wore in the pic above. it was actually bah's hehee... she bought the material in jakarta if i'm not mistaken. she wore it once and now its mine! well she gave it to me of course. i wore it with a black pants :D

i know that its his birthday today

well rizal called me this morning to menanya kabo... and at the same time, i guess he just wanna test me by asking of what day is it today... blimey! of course i remember. its rizal's 35th birthday today!

it'll always be an occasion that remains the reservoir of happy memories, lots of laughter and wholesome family fun! birthday is one of those occasions where the strong emotional bonds, warmth of heartfelt best wishes go beyond the barrier of language and sincere and cordial birthday wish always becomes successful in conveying with its true glory.

megat is 9 today!

how glad i am that megat's mini 9th birthday party is over! *phew* everyone had fun. i am more glad that megat is very happy although its just attended by very closed family members. you could see his happy faces (auww... kids!) from the pics--



like what i mentioned before, megat is currently into ben 10 sooo much! its not surprisingly indeed that most of megat's gift are of ben 10' stuff i.e. toys, figurine, tumbler, lunch box etc. so when lil' safiya saw that, she was like, "semuanya ben 10!". ya... you know... the truth is safiya hates ben 10... hah! she's into girlie stuff like hannah montana, totally spies, kim possible etc. then when my lil' sis passed the party bag to her (safiya), she told safiya, "sowey... its ben 10 again hehe...". kuE's note: i made the paper bags myself. while puteri did the ben 10 stickers herself. go here to view it. safiya just smiled.

other than megat, my lil' sis gave presents to megat's cousins too. its like xmas you know. thank you so much sis for making everyone happy too. ai... dapat bonus ke? hehe...

the best thing is megat only knew about this mini party today. we have been hiding about all the surprises all this while-- the gifts, the party bags, my sister' day trip, etc. its kinda fun you know! enough said, you could see it from the pics cuz "a picture is worth a thousand words", ya?

the 36th years

my birthday this year falls on a weekday. so we just make do with a very simple, great and nice birthday with my two wonderful kids, my darling princess and my hero megat. that was so meaningful for me.

we headed off up north to penang around 3.40pm. we were lucky enough of not to get caught in the traffic jam cuz by the time we reached the penang bridge' toll plaza, it was almost 4.45pm only *phew*


guess what people... even though it was my birthday, but i leave it to my kids of where they wanna spend the big day with me. so just like the previous year, we went to queensbay mall again! well as you could see people, its certainly one of our favourite shopping malls, that's why hehe... i guess i have been talking about queensbay mall like dunno how many times in my blog right. surprisingly we didn't buy anything. in fact i also dunno what to get for myself. so kids also were strolling around happily with me without asking anything. it was my birthday remember? well for them, its kinda not fair to ask me to buy something for them on my birthday. owh... how sweet...

we had an early birthday dinner at none other than TGIF!... just a great place to wind down after a long week!

poor megat... he just recovered from fever and cough, where he didn't attend school for the whole of last week :(

the day we celebrate puteri's 13th birthday

first and foremost, i have just awoke then had a nice, great warm shower hehe... i doze-off at the family room's sofa around 6.30 pm, when most of them were still here lol... dah terbayor ler my hutang tido for last night... *phew*
well before i carry on writing, here's something that i would like to share with you people my inspirations. if you could see from my blogspot's dashboard' screenshot, my blog is approaching the 500th' post soon. hmm... wonder what i should write then. any ideas people? but please dun tell me to come up with something like "500 things about kuE". how long it gonna last then. whatever it is we will see how it goes. anyhow people, ideas are always welcome... just holla me occay?

yesterday was my mom's birthday. we didn't celebrate. but just some kenduri doa selamat along for the reopening of our premise. o yea... forgot to tell you people that we are back in business officially since last thursday, after temporarily closed for about six weeks or so. thus, so sorry my dear... i didn't expect that i would be sooo busy that time till got no time to entertain you. i was damn busy up and forth from here to sales office in ipoh and another office in prai. whats more with meetings with my other task force members. that time i always wished that i could have 25 hours in a day instead :~)

so since there were no celebration for mom, i just baked this (refer right pic). whats the red thingy in the mixer you asked? hehe... simply click here to read more about it.

after everyone went back, i started to bake again at night. this time for puteri and my sis' simple but meaningful birthday celebration, with our very closed family and friends. it was grandma's idea though. eventually she wanted to cook laksa johor for everyone. at first i just wanna bring them to penang... simple as that. besides that i haven't get puteri's present yet. you know when our kids were small, we can buy what we wanted for them, but as they grow older, i believe that its good to let them choose their own present. like puteri, she wanted an oly digital camera too! but of other model of course. well, maybe we will go jalan-jalan this weekend instead or see hows things goes on :P

so after i completed baking the birthday cupcakes around 1 am, i just slept on the sofa, infront of the tv at the family room. megat was sleeping there too. he always like that when i did my baking especially at night. it seems he wanna accompany me. i already awakes by 5 am to do the frosting for the cupcakes. go here to view more of the close-up pics.

i was getting ready for work by 9 am when megat asked me, "mama, you work on chor's* (this is what megat called his sister) birthday too?". owh... kids, you know of how cute they think people. so i told him that it was just for a while to make sure that everything was under control ;)

whatever it is i came back home around 12.30 pm to prepare some stuff for the party. like i said earlier, it was just a simple one, nothing fancy like megat's 8th birthday. anyhow we still get ready not more than 10 goodie bags, specially for puteri's small cousins. its just handmade paper bags from some recycle wrapping paper we have at home, consist of party size chocolates and snacks like chickadee (we use to have this during our school days remember, then danone started to produce them again), ngan yin's ground nut (or better known as kacang cap tangan), cadbury time out and zip, rice crackers (the one available at supermarkets where kids also adult love it so much) plus a hotwheels car for boys and two blue ribbon clips from maggie t for girls. although its not much, at least we were happy to see the happy faces of our small guest.

earlier when i was happily arranging the birthday cupcakes, my sister came. suddenly i was so damn shocked when she shouted, "WOIII!!!...". she quickly took the one with number, and ran away from me. in other words, both us siap main aci kejor lagik! lol... she locked herself in our parent room's toilet grr... after quite some time, i went back to the dining room. she followed me while teasing me like small kids. everyone were laughing like hell. she then ate the cupcake infront of me. when she saw me snapping her pics, she warned me not to load them in flickr wakakakaaa...

alright then people... here i leave you with some pics of the party. my favourite is the candid pic of puteri and my niece safiya. the last one showed safiya who was being shy, after we granted her wish to blow the candles too. "dunno ler of how many times we celebrated safiya's birthday in a year", safiya's mom (my cousin sarah) mumbling alone lol... viel Vergnügen!

of eja's birthday & break fast outing

i almost forgot that i haven't bring my staff for the buka puasa outing yet. my schedule is damn packed this time, thats why. we went to gurney hotel last year. click here to read about it. eventually they would never know of where we gonna buka puasa as i always kept it to myself until we reached the destination.

so this year i have to make do with a nearer place (here), being that i am terribly busy this time of the year. plans were immediately made yesterday, where i booked the place with abang ali via sms. some of my staff went today, while the rest will be going on this coming monday. take note that our business aren't easy for us to close shop anytime we wanna, just like that. if not... hmm... you will be seeing these people coming uninvited grr... btw it was such a co-incidence that one of my cashier' birthday falls today too. i only realized it yesterday! some of you people may know already by now that i love to surprise people and make them happy, especially my closed ones. i went back home early from work yesterday for us to bake some multi-colour swirl cupcakes, to surprise eja today. i made an arrangement with abang ali, to keep the birthday cupcakes in their kitchen as soon as i arrived. then they are to bring it out after we finished our main break fast meal.

eja was damn surprised when one of the waitress brought out a big plate of the birthday cupcakes. "this must be kakak. thank you so much", she said while looking at me. i am so glad that she likes the idea. she smiled all the way... anyhow, enjoy the pics people--

but back to dinner. the buffet ramadhan, available for RM28 nett for adult and RM19 nett for children, is served at the other section. the usual coffee house area is under renovation.

the ambiance was great. soft lighting, distributed buffet areas and raya music (recorded) makes it a great business dinner venue. you can actually hear yourself talk, and not hear the conversation of others nearby. you don't get elbowed at the buffet, and the staff look you in the eye when they smile at you.

the spread itself was nothing to shout about at first, until you taste the food. dessert, my main interest whenever i go for a buffet, was simple yet distinctive. of course, they had the local fruits, local kuih selection including my favourite, none other than kuih limas, and a mean bubur pulut hitam. i was pleasantly surprised that the teh tarik was not THAT sweet! finally... lol...

to abang ali,
tqsm for the great hospitality. not forgetting the discounts! there were 9 of us i.e. 8 adult and 1 children, but the cashier charged me for 7 adults only plus 1 children. besides that, she even minus 10% from it, that makes the grand total of less than RM200. i knew that it must be you. also a very big thank you to all the f&b staff who were very helpful when we needed your assistance. see you all again on monday!

alright, i guess i would better call it a night then. its gonna be a whole day community event for tomorrow with my N7 team. i really need a good rest. nite-nite people!

the day we had a splendid saturday

megat's actual birthday was on the 1st june. since it fell on school term beak, we could only organized his birthday party today. other than that, there were wedding receptions to attend to on both last two weekends. nevertheless as long as its held after the actual birthday, then its ok for me. no harm.

we have guest came from far and near, like as far as cameron highlands. yes! chin came. tqsm friend. some of them can't make it cuz their kids got replacement class on saturdays. sorry can't do nothing cuz we have plan this for quite some time back.

so as usual at our kids party, people would expect to have a separate eating place for both kids and adult i.e. kid's food catered by mcD, while adult's food has been catered by a local caterer EJ catering (whose also one of the caterers for raja nazrin's wedding). for the birthday cake(s), we baked them all by ourselves -- click here and here for pics. i was so glad that they like them all so much. some even surprised that i did all the cakes myself ;) the best thing was that we served all the kids with a cupcakes each, right after they sang the birthday song, which they did in 3 languages -- malay, english and mandarin. we placed some of the cupcakes at the adult' buffet line as well.

megat also received a lot of presents. i was so glad and happy indeed seeing everyone enjoyed themselves. guess all the hard works paid! enjoy the pics people. i wanna have a good rest now. nite nite... mwahh...

p/s i have just put megat to sleep before i post this. he was tired. he thanked me for everything. he also mentioned to me that he really enjoyed himself today.

megat is 8!

i slept very late and was awaken by some knocking on my room door around 7.30 am.

"whose that?", i asked.

"mama's birthday boy", megat answered.

i was like... haa?!!... i looked at the time at my fon. gosh... its already 7.30!!! but i only had less than three hours sleep. i unlock the door. megat entered, then he hugged me so tight, followed by kisses. he's really a mama's boy. i wished him happy birthday.

"okay mama, i'll see you later".

unfortunately i didn't get ready yet. i went back to bed and continued to sleep another hour lol... i came down almost 10 am, when everyone were about to arrive. auntie yan brought chicken pie and honey cake. while enda teh brought cream puff (my fav!) and my mother cooked chicken rice. as you could see, i baked the birthday cake myself. now you all know of why i slept very late ;) i didn't even wanna take pics of myself as i really looks like zombiesss!!! lol...

i went in to my room maybe around 1.30 pm and slept right away, after i threw my helpless body on the bed. i heard the sms alert tone minutes later. i checked my fon. i tried to read the sms but i can't because my eyes were really weak. when i awoke at 5.50 pm, i saw that my last sms checked was still there... it was from kimi. thank you so much. also sorry for not replying you sis. i have informed megat, and he said thank you too. o yes... not forgetting CK, thank you for the wish too sis.

guess what people. my initial plan was to go to queensbay mall in penang, after we had the brunch. what to do... bummer! i can't help myself... anyhow i went to ipoh yesterday with my mom and megat. he got to choose his own birthday present, like what he said, "i am already big and know what i want". megat chose spider-man 3' electronic web spinning blaster.

i would also like to wish my cousin totam, a happy 24th birthday. what a co-incidence he shared the same birthday with megat. i'll see you when you come back for holiday tomorrow. fyi totam is studying medical in medan. eventually he was in ukraine before. he was not allowed to enter the country when he wanted to go back there the last time. what we could say is it was dangerous too... its all now history.
