project 365: 4th week—

project 365 — 4th week

day 22 — this was the first pic for this project, taken out of kualè. we were walking out of kwong fatt, in ipoh, a famous fabrics shop among ipoh people and the surrounded areas; when we saw an old shop in front of it. it looked interesting that we decided to go and drop-by there. it sells ready-made clothes a-la sunday market. whats more interesting when we saw an antique cash register machine. according to the shop lady, they owned the machine for about 50 years or more.

day 23 — all of us went to cousin cicik’s akad nikah (solemnisation), held after maghrib prayers. i make sure that we attended it especially megat as cicik helped me to take care of him when he was a baby. she’s very good at it, even her mom was unsure of where and how she inherit those expertise. anyhow she is now working at a local spa centre here in kualè.

day 24 — the next afternoon was cicik’s kenduri— check-out the antique plates. ning baizura was so proud that she used them during her wedding, remember? blerk!… my parent’s wedding used them also. bah told me that it only cost at RM0.20 each those days *glurp* but the best thing at cicik's wedding was, we were served with spread of food and wedding favour from medan... marvelous! for those who wonders, she is ijoe's youngest sista!

day 25 — which one you wanna go? there were so many weddings last weekend; correct me if i am wrong. you can see quite a number of wedding signs placed at junctions everywhere.

day 26 — i just had chicken chop for lunch at yut loy with puteri and bah. so this pic has been snapped while i was waiting for my food. the baby pic you saw in the pic is ah meng’s grand daughter, a latest generation of yut loy hehee…

day 27 — we arrived kl at around 3 pm to spend the rest of the school holidays that will be ended this sunday. my lil’ sis treated us for a dinner at TGIF in sunway pyramid. that’s my favourite strawberry milkshake. i only like the one from TGIF as it’s the best of all!… the thickness, the taste, in fact everything are perfecto! so what’s your favourite from TGIF.

day 28 — it was a ‘jalan-jalan’ day at KLCC. well actually cousin abang ayi had a whole day conference there. he had to bring his son daniel and asked megat to tag along. i brought them around the mall while waiting for the time they were supposed to go to petrosains. and what a lucky day for us when we met my uncle ayah jed and his grandson anaqi in kinokuniya. so we had our lunch at 1901 together, courtesy of ayah jed weee... thank you so much for the lunch treat ayah jed! puteri was there too but she hang-out with her friends :~)

when life became too fragile~

alright peeps, so this is a spontaneous post after i found-out that someone 'poked' me on my fb. when i checked, that someone is apparently a 'kampung' friend's wife.

and when i thought again of how on earth that lady 'poked' me out of the blue, here's the story: i saw a good morning wish message posted by my friend on his fb page. so i as usual joyfully popped-in and informed him that i will be there on saturday, and would love him to belanja me at TGIF! i don't think that was bad at all... we have been friends from small. his mother was my auntie's batch in school. in fact both of our family know each other. and before i forgot, my friend found his step-sister or cousin i am not sure, via my fb page. what a small world that my blogger friend is actually related to this friend of mine. and when the lady saw my message, she must have been thinking who the hell am i huh?!!... well, join us at TGIF and that's not a problem for me at all!

oh, haluuu... lay-deee

i don't give a damn about your husband ler... don't worry at all for god's sake! and i am NOT that kind of woman to bother about someone's husband. and if you think that i wanna disturb your marriage life, then you are wasting your time! i am a single-mother, yes. but take note that i am also a strong woman with big hearts... enough said! ♡

what a blast @#$%^&* !

i said last weekend was a blast because i really went all out last saturday nite. hehe... just imagine, i stop drinking as soon as i found out that i was pregnant for megat. that was like more than seven years ago! now... i did it again ;)

friends... they are the one who taught us the good, the bad, everything. thus... we cannot blame them all cuz we are the one who could decide whether the thing is right or wrong.

we had a small and simple brunch-cum-birthday-party for adik ina and puteri at my sister's place in kd on saturday. most of our immediate relatives were there. although it's a simple one but we end-up with two sets of cakes! auntie mia and family brought one set while cousin sarah brought another lol... luckily they were going to a grand-auntie's place at desa coffin (is this right, i wonder... cuz i heard they pronounced it that way) for bbq that night. so they brought along some cakes there too. anyhow i didn't plan to go along as i thought of meeting some old friends that i've never met for so long.

few days before i went to kl, i sms koboi asking about his workplace. thank god he didn't ask me back anything. well i thought since he surprised me before, then i should surprise him also. i know, from there, i could meet our other old colleagues and friends too. simple as that. anyhow koboi called me that afternoon just to say hi. i guess that was the chance for me also to know whether he was working that day. so around four something i left the house and went straight to bangsar. one thing about bangsar from the one more than 10 years ago ~ it was damn hysterical looking for parking at jalan telawi area. at least it was not that bad at bsc though. alas i found a good one after a few rounds, not far from jalan telawi 2. then i walked a few blocks from my 4wd to
la bodega, headed straight to the bar counter. i asked one of the bartender for koboi. he said that koboi went out for his break.

ok that's fine. i waited for him (koboi) at one of the stools facing inside. not long after that i heard the bartender told me, "ha... tu dia". but i just make dunno. suddenly someone poked my waist from the back. "arrgghhh... ", he shouted out loud. koboi laughed but i just smiled. "ohh... nak surprise kan orang konon. so it seems tadi when i called u were in kuale... ". hehe... now my turn to surprise you lar kawan lol... koboi introduced me to all his colleagues and his mat salleh gm. like what i guess earlier, within minutes koboi dissappeared and within 1/2 an hour some of our friends came in. before that koboi already asked me, "what would you like to have. ayor buah? vodka? beer? ayor saje? alar... saya tau lar awak... ". heyyy... please lar... i told him about my life in kampung, so much different than my kl life before kan. "alar... boleh percaya ke?", he asked. up to you lar... he was doing his jobs behind the bar while talking to me. he is really good in that line i tell you. koboi asked me again about what i would like to have. i shooked my head. within seconds, he put a glass of vodka lime infront of me while saying, "sudah lar awak...". a waiter placed a set of spanish meals infront of me. i like the mushroom. it seems that its the favourite there. when our friends came, the place became more havoc. we talked and laughed until koboi punched-out +/- 6.30pm. we then went to koboi's place at pines condo. he definitely dun wanna join us in his uniform hehe... we then proceed back to bangsar where koboi brought us to a pub (i dunno the name) somewhere infront of
la bodega. they all drank jugs of beer. i can't do that, i still gonna go back with mom at home ;) so they ordered vodka lime also for me. i guess i drank more than four or five glasses! adik ina sms me when i was there. she was in bsc with friends. i looked at my guess watch, it was 9.30. i told koboi that i cannot join them until so late. he asked me to stay for a while. i sms adik ina back telling her that i would fetch her in 1/2 an hour. "boleh ke?", koboi asked. ahhh... he saw what i typed from the back! i looked at the watch again, 10.30. so i told koboi that i really have to go. i kissed and hugged the rest of our friends. my head was a bit dz. i told this to koboi. ya lor... its been more than seven years... dun worry, i could still managed myself. koboi walked me to my 4wd. i fetched adik ina, wow... she met a mat salleh friend ;) once back, i took my shower and went to sleep.

as soon as i woke up around 8 yesterday, i asked megat whether he wanna follow me to 1u. since he wanna go also, i told myself, this time its okay because i was gonna meet a new forumer friend rose of
mckk8286 forum for the first time. i'm not sure whether rose has a blog. i stumbled into that forum just by chance because i found out that i've been tracked by camus (one of the budak koleq). wa lau ley... he's so free meh searching for blogs on koleq, huh?!! anyhow like i told them before i never talked bad about them as almost all my generations studied there. anyway back to the earlier story. i fetched puteri and my cousin at my auntie's place before we went to 1u. as soon as we reached there, puteri and my cousin went off their own way. i promised to call her after i finished with rose. we supposed to meet for brunch at tgif. 11am, its still closed. we met infront of tgif though. we exchanged gift. she gave me some goodies while i gave her the company's diary/planner. i hope that she likes it. so rose said that we should follow what megat wants so that he won't be boring later. rose came alone. so we went to mcD instead. besides me, rose entertained megat too. rose knew how talkative was megat that day hehe... megat wanted to go to toys 'r' us. we brought him there. we talked almost everything from life, work and stuff. it was not that easy because i have megat with me. i'm sorry rose, maybe we'll meet again some other time. i called puteri. we then went to a watch shop. i told her that she could choose her own present since she already a big girl now. she chose a baby pink casio watch. if i'm not mistaken the actual price was more than RM250. but since its on christmas sale, i paid the watch for RM180 only. whatever it is, at least puteri is happy with what she got. for adik ina, i bought an estee lauder miniature parfum set yesterday at 1u too.

o yea... i almost forgot this... friday night. i met a new blogger friend annamox too! read her version here. met her at mid valley. eventually i wanted to give her the same thing i gave rose. unfortunately i forgot to bring it that night. sorry kawan... we just talked a bit... hi hi bye bye lol... she was rushing to meet another friend somewhere in shah alam. its alright kawan, there's always a next time. apparently she knows kimi, leilanie's friend also. hehe... small world kan? she was browsing thru the blogs that link from mine... walla...

anyhow i sms V on friday to let him know that i was there in kl. didn't meet him. like i mentioned here in my blog few months ago, both of us knew that we cannot meet in kl, dangerous wohh... he is one of the well-known guy in the country thats why. my place is a no no too. the best is at his place in ipoh ;)

kuE's note: oftrash, if you dun understand some of the weird words let me know okay. sometimes i may type in malay too, depends on whats gonna come out from my brain ;)

the day i felt like i was shopping in kl...

...but the truth is i was at queensbay mall in penang ;) the most important thing also, i didn't have to drive-in the town area as well. as soon as i reached penang island from the bridge, i just have to head to bayan lepas and within minutes... voila! i saw the mall already (click here to view the location map).

from what i understood, it is currently the largest, longest and most modern shopping mall in penang. like its tagline " it's all happening here!" , i could say that the place is really happening i tell you. besides that, the mall also located by the sea, just like gurney plaza. now... in terms of location, of course queensbay mall is much more easier, like what i mentioned earlier. although the anchor tenant is jusco, but most of whatever have in kl, are available there too i.e. shops like liz claiborne, guess, harvey norman, toy 'r us, and many more. the main point was we didn't even go to jusco lol... in fact we were so glad that the mall has its very own tgif outlet too. then of course we had our lunch there, after spending some time at borders. other than the things i love to buy/shop i.e. shoes, accessories, clothes etc., i also bought this book and this book. the reason for me to choose those books was that the recipes sounds easy and the illustrations looks yummy!!! hmm... we would definitely try to bake some soon and post about it in our other blog *drool*

our shopping trip to penang didn't stop there. then we stopped-by auto-city on our way back, just to have some ice-cream at my favourite ice-cream restaurant, swensens :D i seldom visit it ever since i came back here. i remember the last time we went to eat there was like many months ago, at its outlet in subang parade if i'm not mistaken. on other note, i would definitely go back to penang to do my shopping!!! ;)

today in history ~ 17 december 2006

caution: this post is gonna be rather long with lotsa pics and such. you know... i was supposed to post this on 17th, but i was damn busy to get near the pc. so here goes...

i have just reached home from penang by 10pm. i had to attend a full-day seminar in prai ler... well actually, i wanted to stay in kl for at least five to six days from the day i arrived there on friday. unfortunately i saw a fax from the company on last tuesday, asking us the whole northern region to meet in pearl view hotel for a seminar :(

the best thing was when one of the pakciks came to me and asked of why i was there. it seems my dad should come instead of me. you know what people? he thought that i was the bride lol... everyone were laughing like hell. he didn't realize that it was a male' name in the invitation card ;)

so i had breakfast with V yesterday morning at kopitiam near his office in plaza damas. the main reason was of course as usual to catch-up on things, besides to hand him my bro's invitation card for this saturday. guess what people, it was my first time there. ya lor... long time never come to kl what lol... i had nasi lemak while he had 1/2 boiled eggs with buttered toast. sorry no food pics this time hehe... not infront of V lol...

alright, let me just go straight to what i wanna post this time. there were quite a number of good and memorable events happened on this day of 17 december 2006.

1 ~ it was my lil' bro's wedding reception dinner for the bride's side at the legend hotel. like the akad nikah on saturday, the wedding planner for this event was pak abu too, who is well-known for his usage of fresh flowers. so we guess of no wonder that he (pak abu) didn't charge shafinaz anything for the hantaran (gift) during the akad nikah. that night, it was full of roses in the banquet hall. in fact i could smell roses everywhere! it was nicely done. kudos pak abu!

kuE's note: more pics can be viewed here.

2 ~ that day also was puteri's 12th birthday. i brought both puteri and megat to berjaya times square (that was my first time there i tell you). our intention was to just went there for jalan-jalan on puteri's birthday. we headed to starbucks for breakfast. since the mall has my favourite store MJ, i bought their school uniforms there. from there, we went straight to jusco 1U to buy a present for mom. we can't find what we wanted in MJ, that's why. we bought aramis life for her i.e. stefanie graf. we bought the same i.e. andre agassi' for dad on his 60th birthday last august. that's why. after that, we had our lunch at tgif. puteri even got a complimentary piece of chocolate cake, while some of the staff sang a birthday song for her.

besides that, puteri was absolutely surprised when VE sang a birthday song for her too. she was smiling all the way lol...

kuE's note:
i. sorry that the video pic was blur as we were laughing and that i was giggling too.
ii. leilanie dear, this video was the one that i tried to send you via mms ;)

3 ~ the same date also marked my sister's 34th birthday. she celebrated it with her friends during the day.

kuE's note: my sister's pic by liyin.

to celli & shafinaz, congratulations to both of you. may you two live happily ever after. lots of lurve from chor!

to my darling puteri, happy 12th birthday. luv from your mama!

to my sista, happy 34th birthday and many more years to come... love, chor!

meeting sheryl, lich & leilanie

my 2D/1N weekend trip to kl this time was so packed i tell you. i only managed to leave kuale around 5.30pm yesterday. everybody already left much earlier. i left behind because i was one of the committee at a community event in aulong, taiping for that very morning. so i had to come back here first. the most important thing was that i haven't send my 4wd for service hehe... once that completed, then only i felt safe to travel. i decided to dress-up right from here and go straight to shah alam, for my cousin charlie's wedding last night. thanks a lot to leilanie for the direction ;) sorry no pics of the wedding, no mood ler... anyhow all i could say that it was a great one, having sultan of pahang as one of the royal guest, with slides about both the bride and groom prepared by charlie himself. well congratulations to both of you charlie & yatt. may you be blessed with much love till the end of time.

i woke-up very early this morning, although it was sunday. i already had plan to bring my puteri and megat with my nephew shahriman to watch disney on ice' 11am show at bukit jalil. click here to view pics of the show that i have taken. i had to send shahriman to his uncle's (my cousin) place before i go to the curve for my next appointment.

sheryl and lich already waited for me at tgif. i was of course with puteri and megat. unfortunately puteri was shy, juz like when i wanted to go for the penang blogger meet last time. as soon as we got in, she make an
excuse to go to the washroom, but then she disappeared. we thought that maybe she was shy with lich around lol... not long after that, leilanie joined us. tadaa!!!... hmm... surprised or not you all hehe... i plan not to tell either three of you :D someone must be 'terkezut beruk' rotfl... we really had a damn great hours anyway, being only known each other thru blogs. that's the wonders of blogging!

after so much of talking, then it was cam whore time!!! all pics taken by megat with my nokia6680. hey people, guess what... i only knew about this word (cam whore) when i was at the penang blogger meet ;)

tremendously sweet leilanie

hmm... aren't they cute

i love this pic (p/s those 3 boxes were lich' fruitcakes all the way from ipoh mali, courtesy of kay and i, which was a moment to remember)

smile!!!... ;)

we left the place around 5.30pm. thank you (again) lich for the treat. hey dude... leilanie asked me whether sheryl and you are girlfriend and boyfriend hehe... i dunno... you better answer that lol...

o yes, before i forgot... to leilanie, tqsm for the butterfly t-shirt, love it! to sheryl, i love a dozen of the pink roses, tqqq mwahh...

the other day' stories

i reached home at about 5.30pm yesterday from a quick one night kl trip. i am so sorry that i didn't tell some of you. it was just a last minute plan with my sister. she has two tickets for harry connick jr [ehem... yes ween, he is sooo damn adorable in person i tell you ;) ], at dewan philharmonik petronas.

i only managed to meet my beloved sis S for lunch at tgif in pavilion. i am so glad that we met sis, i missed you sooo much! all the best for today's op ya? i know that everything gonna be alright.

i arrived pavilion very early to catch jco donuts for the first time and bought 2 dozens! hehe... ya it was my first time occay? and since i know that there's always long q, that's why i decided to get there early. puas hati! so i called my aunties back at home and asked them to come to the house around 5.30pm. hmm... what a wonderful experienced to enjoy the great donuts together with your loved ones ;) i simply loved it! yummy...

i got sober the night before but everything was alright, nothing to worry, as i know of how to develop myself well :) you know... its always like this when i bumped with some good friends in kl, thats kind of a normal thingy. before that was a really wonderful event for me--

lucien barbarin & i

i was one of the audience at harry connick jr and his big band 'my new orleans' tour. well some of you may not know that i can go with their type of music too. takes megat-- when i told him that i wanna go to the show, he asked me, "mama, you also like harry connick?!!" lol...

it was really a great one! harry is damn good looking for a 40 hehe... he's funny too! he really can make people laughed. he teased a couple who came late (their seats were at the front row) when he was about to sing, "hey you two... why you are so late. you forgot that the show started at 8.30 is it?". hah! ambik you... that was an event by international celebrities. so if you don't know, please bear in mind that they are very punctual with their timing. in fact earlier, harry told everyone already (while pointing his finger to the two empty seats) that, "i am sure that those two people gonna be embarrassed when they come in later during the show".

as you could see, my sister helped me to snap a pic of me with lucien barbarian, a well known trombonist who performs along with harry. lucien was there at the merchandise booth after the show. owh... if only harry was there too lol...

the 36th years

my birthday this year falls on a weekday. so we just make do with a very simple, great and nice birthday with my two wonderful kids, my darling princess and my hero megat. that was so meaningful for me.

we headed off up north to penang around 3.40pm. we were lucky enough of not to get caught in the traffic jam cuz by the time we reached the penang bridge' toll plaza, it was almost 4.45pm only *phew*

guess what people... even though it was my birthday, but i leave it to my kids of where they wanna spend the big day with me. so just like the previous year, we went to queensbay mall again! well as you could see people, its certainly one of our favourite shopping malls, that's why hehe... i guess i have been talking about queensbay mall like dunno how many times in my blog right. surprisingly we didn't buy anything. in fact i also dunno what to get for myself. so kids also were strolling around happily with me without asking anything. it was my birthday remember? well for them, its kinda not fair to ask me to buy something for them on my birthday. owh... how sweet...

we had an early birthday dinner at none other than TGIF!... just a great place to wind down after a long week!

poor megat... he just recovered from fever and cough, where he didn't attend school for the whole of last week :(

look people... at how fast my puteri has grown ;)

that was my tossed tomato basil chicken hmm... i like...

this pic has been taken by puteri arghhh... do i look tired here :P

i would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you people for your birthday wishes via sms-es, emails, fb, etc. thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!

regards to the PROJECT #36, i don't think i have had enough 36 guest bloggers yet. to those who dunno, i was not well for the past one week plus or so, thus i didn't get the chance to follow-up anything on this. anyhow i guess i will still open this up till the 36 counts, to commemorate my 36th birthday this year. its kinda fun actually to have guest bloggers with all sorts of life and thinking, taking part in this project. so posh_post, since you have written a great review about me, would you like to join in too? i knew posh_post from SocialSpark. read more about it here and here. to those of you people who wish to be my guest blogger and contribute for my PROJECT #36, why don't you email me, and i would be much glad to add you too!

moonstone -- stone of emotional balance

when we were in penang last sunday, we never let go the chance to drop-by none other than queensbay mall... yay!!! unfortunately the situation was not the same this time as there was my nephew didin with us. he was the hyper type argghhh!!!... i had to use the child rope/string to tie his hand with mine :| he only sat still during the disney magic show ler... i guess that must be my first and last time for me to bring him out haha!...

so we only went for lunch at the chicken rice shop, although we were so wanted to go to tgif. but when we wanted to go back, i saw that one of my favourite shops there, serene was on sale. there were signs of 50%!!! so i was like, "wow!!! i gotta have them. its the chances that we can't let go!". as you could see i am not that fan of gold so much. i prefer silver or gemstone. apparently, you could count of how many gold items in my collection in one hand only lol... grandmother took didin from me and asked him to sit outside a video shop next to serene. he watched the cartoons there. thank god!

i fell for blue moonstone bangles (refer right pic below). before that i bought a green stone (i can't remember the name of the stone -- not jade) earring at RM30+ only (after 70% discount). what a good price huh?!! when i was about to take out my money, then only i saw the blue moonstone in the glass display counter. i tried a few. then wore the round one right away! it costs me at RM300 only, after a 50% discount. it was definitely a good price. the chinese lady that entertained me was so nice and helpful. i like her. but i dunno her name ;) she explained to me the descriptions of the blue moonstone in details. mom told me that a chinese guy from the shop told her that the lady is a geologist. it seems even the guy also dunno much like her. no wonder she knows everything about gemstones! jusk ask... she could answer you instantly i tell you! hehe...

now i shall write about the stone as what i have been told by the chinese lady. i hope that i won't miss anything lol...

color: white

usually milky with a bluish or yellowish tint. translucent with white, pink, yellow, soft sheen.

metaphysical:

moonstone helps to soothe and balance the emotions. they assist in the master of your emotions by bringing them under control of your will, instead of repressing or expressing them. moonstone represents the great mother goddess. her strength lies in her gentleness, and her ability to experience, process, and neutralize her feelings.

a stone of wishes, intuition, and balance. helps all be more comfortable with our gentler feminine side. brings to you all that is needed.

discernment:

"want" and need" do not come from the same place. moonstone can assist you in absorbing those things that are “needed” in life while helping you discern what is merely “wanted”.

some people think that moonstone is strictly a feminine stone, because it is associated with a woman's monthly cycle. but nurturing, gentle care, and unselfish humanitarian service is not simply a female attribute.

moonstone can unblock those feelings in both men AND women who are afraid to acknowledge or experience consciously how they feel on a personal and internal level.

this is a great stone for doctors, nurses, technicians, and other health care workers, who sometimes feel they must repress much of what they feel in order to function more effectively, at the expense of gentleness that comes with empathy and compassion.

it will bring emotions and feelings under ones control without becoming hardened to the human suffering they see on a daily basis.

moonstone will help achieve a balance between heart and mind without losing the gentleness and caring needed, yet keep it in check to allow you to function effectively.

moonstone can come to the aid of many executives, who have sacrificed feeling emotionally connected to the people that work for them in an effort to function more efficiently, only to find that his employees now are difficult to work with and have little loyalty because of his detachment. you can rebuild a caring environment while maintaining order by allowing yourself to get in touch with the emotional aspects of management.

unhappy workers who feel you are distant and detached are not productive employees. slip a piece of moonstone in your pocket to remind you to take the time to ponder decisions from all aspects.

in the eastern cultures, moonstone was favored for LOVE. they believed that wearing or carrying a moonstone would bring a new love into your life. they also believe that holding a piece of moonstone over their hearts after a quarrel, and then exchanging the stones with each other, would bring you back together.

like moss agate, malachite, and jade (click here to view mine that i bought from my beijing trip), moonstone is associated with gardening. all four are attributed to nature, water, and fertilization. wear during planting, weeding, or watering, and visualize your garden bursting with fertility as you work. hang a small wind chime and dangle these stones over your garden, or bury a few small pebbles in the earth.

because of the way it travels thru the zodiac, moonstone is also considered a protective stone while traveling, especially at night or on the water. the perfect stone for swimmers, sailors and going on vacation cruises.

many people who work with tarot cards, runes, crystal balls, medicine cards or any other type of divining tool, keep a moonstone with them to heighten intuition and perceptions while working with them.

moonstone fosters happiness, gracefulness, good fortune, hope, spiritual insight, easy childbirth, safe travel on water, new beginnings and adjusting to changes, abundance and ancient wisdom. especially for water signs. motherly love, support, encouragement.

  • this stone gets us in touch with our feelings and is linked with the moon.
  • moonstone is protective of women and nature, and is a sacred stone of the moon goddess.
  • new beginnings, re-birth.
  • absorbs pain and illness.

physical:

women's hormones/menstrual imbalance, lymph. regenerates the tissues and organs. heals reproductive system.

careers:

health care: doctors, nurses, technicians, and other health care workers

other: sailors, coast guard

activities: gardening, vacation cruises, swimming, water sports

short definition:
