happy 7th birthday shahriman

today is the forth day of hari raya aidil fitri or eid mubarak. i guess its still not too late for me to wish my nephew shahriman a happy birthday here. we just came back from his birthday party celebration at his place in bukit chandan. the party was really a blast with a live band by shahriman's dad (my cousin) band.

we also brought a special home-made birthday cake for the birthday boy, other than some presents that we bought for him.

kuE's note: pic taken by my sister. more pics can be view here ;)

of breast feeding in public

HOT! HOT! HOT!...

wohoo!!!... i really dunno that it was a big hot issue/topics to discuss there in the states. i am baffled that someone would view breastfeeding as a sexual image??!! it is a beautiful and natural moment between a mother and child and people that are offended should really grow up because breasts are displayed EVERYWHERE in an intended sexual manner yet breastfeeding is what woman's breasts are meant for. do people fear loosing the sexuality of the breast by seeing these images? hmm... i knew this someone whose alwiz wrote about his experiences in the u.s. so speak-up dude! btw... happy belated birthday (yesterday) to you hehe... saje tak nak wish him in his blog lol...

alright, for me, i breast fed both my kids as i truly believe that its the best way ever to feed our child especially when it contains colostrum (also known as first milk). i nursed megat the longest, till he was about 3+. he was already started scooling then, in jiang hua kindergarten. his lause (teacher) would asked me to practice to slowly stop breast feed him, or maybe to explain to megat to get it at home only. lause told me that sometimes megat would shouted 'nenen' out of the blue lol... well... it was quite troublesome in the first few months. but we finally managed ourselves ;)

well, i never nursed my kids in public places openly. i was then in kl. i also didn't go out much after my confinement, not until my kids started to eat solid food. if i do, i would normally stop-by baby room in malls, or else i did it in the car. it was much easier if i went to relatives place. they were very supportive. they let me use one of their rooms, if they do not have guest rooms in the house. all i could say is, breast feeding was great for me. o yes... besides that i was lucky that i could still keep my figure as it is ;) its all thanks to nursing my kids.

guess what people. megat never try to drink from baby bottles i.e. he drank his first water straight from the training cup! there's once way back when he saw his cousin shahriman drank ribena from the baby bottles. megat looked at him like so weird. so shahriman's grandfather asked megat whether he wanna try. megat took it from him and try to put the nipples in his mouth. not even seconds, he threw out everything lol...

meeting sheryl, lich & leilanie

my 2D/1N weekend trip to kl this time was so packed i tell you. i only managed to leave kuale around 5.30pm yesterday. everybody already left much earlier. i left behind because i was one of the committee at a community event in aulong, taiping for that very morning. so i had to come back here first. the most important thing was that i haven't send my 4wd for service hehe... once that completed, then only i felt safe to travel. i decided to dress-up right from here and go straight to shah alam, for my cousin charlie's wedding last night. thanks a lot to leilanie for the direction ;) sorry no pics of the wedding, no mood ler... anyhow all i could say that it was a great one, having sultan of pahang as one of the royal guest, with slides about both the bride and groom prepared by charlie himself. well congratulations to both of you charlie & yatt. may you be blessed with much love till the end of time.

i woke-up very early this morning, although it was sunday. i already had plan to bring my puteri and megat with my nephew shahriman to watch disney on ice' 11am show at bukit jalil. click here to view pics of the show that i have taken. i had to send shahriman to his uncle's (my cousin) place before i go to the curve for my next appointment.

sheryl and lich already waited for me at tgif. i was of course with puteri and megat. unfortunately puteri was shy, juz like when i wanted to go for the penang blogger meet last time. as soon as we got in, she make an
excuse to go to the washroom, but then she disappeared. we thought that maybe she was shy with lich around lol... not long after that, leilanie joined us. tadaa!!!... hmm... surprised or not you all hehe... i plan not to tell either three of you :D someone must be 'terkezut beruk' rotfl... we really had a damn great hours anyway, being only known each other thru blogs. that's the wonders of blogging!

after so much of talking, then it was cam whore time!!! all pics taken by megat with my nokia6680. hey people, guess what... i only knew about this word (cam whore) when i was at the penang blogger meet ;)

tremendously sweet leilanie

hmm... aren't they cute

i love this pic (p/s those 3 boxes were lich' fruitcakes all the way from ipoh mali, courtesy of kay and i, which was a moment to remember)

smile!!!... ;)

we left the place around 5.30pm. thank you (again) lich for the treat. hey dude... leilanie asked me whether sheryl and you are girlfriend and boyfriend hehe... i dunno... you better answer that lol...

o yes, before i forgot... to leilanie, tqsm for the butterfly t-shirt, love it! to sheryl, i love a dozen of the pink roses, tqqq mwahh...

abracadabra!

like what i mentioned last night, we were in penang today for disney live! mickey's magic show, at penang international sports arena (pisa). click here to see the show times in kl. like i mentioned before too, the show started at 11 am sharp!

i found the map of pisa online (right pic) and printed it out immediately before i sign-off last night. sorry i forgot to save the web address for me to place a link here. guess what people. we were one of the few people to arrive there early.you know... its my style that i will make sure that i will be there early for events like that, especially when that was the first time i went there ;) anyhow i didn't use the printed map much as the arena is so easy to find. i knew that its further up after the equatorial hotel junction. then we saw a sign board to the arena only a few blocks away on the left.

the gate only opened at 10.15 am for the 11 am show. megat was the one whose so excited. also his cousin, didin whose also is shahriman's brother. as you could see this time i brought didin because i have already brought shahriman to the last disney's show we went.

although we seated in the first row, i didn't want to take the risk to take any pics at all. the security people this time were very strict. in fact i warned the kids of not to say anything if any of the security questioned me about it. so i lied to them when were at the entrance door to the premium category seats, for them to check our tickets *phew* i hate to loose my oly i tell you. its safely kept in my handbag where ever i go ;) i never leave home without it ever since i bought it! i saw three cases in front of my very own eyes, where almost all of them, the security placed the digital cameras in a plastic bag. they took down the digicam/video cam owners particulars. they (the camera owners) were advised to take their items at counter number four, located near the ticket counter outside, after the show ends.

kids were lucky that we seated in the front row. what when the illusionist brad ross, came to us about 30 mins before the show started. he placed a pair of pink rubber shoes in between didin and me. owh... how i wished that i could captured that moment in pics. it seems that the shoe was for one of his tricks then. we enjoyed the magic show so much. we didn't realize it until brad came back to us when he wanted to find a pair of shoe for the magic session of cinderella's shoe ;) he turned the shoe in to cinderella's glass shoe hehe...

over all, all-in-all i could described the show in one word as fantastic! all kinds of people would definitely enjoyed them. every thing was perfect! the performances, dances, props etc. the interaction with audience were of a first class standard. who doesn't love mickey & friends right?

regards to the premium tickets, i only paid about 30% less of the published rates. the best thing was to be one of the 'early birds'. i bought my tickets online last august. then pr worldwide, penang send the tickets to me via courier with no extra charge. fyi the prices are better here online. same goes to any other bookings i.e. hotels, theme parks etc. i even bought sunway tambun tickets online. thats where i realized that buying tickets online are better. hmm... some people teased me for buying the tickets for today's show too early. well thats the trick people... for us to get good prices too! correct me if i am wrong :)

kuE's note: read more about the magic show here.

警 察, 老 虎, 手 枪

i was at the family room, watching dunno what on tv when suddenly i heard the sound of the boys, echoing from the dining room-- "jǐng chá, lǎo hǔ, shǒu qiāng".

then i was like, "oik?!! what are they playing? that surely sounds like good for a video recording hehe...". i also thought that maybe its just something like our kind of "one, two, som...". what say you people--

translations: police, tiger, pistol 8)

kuE's note:
the other children in the video with megat were megat's cousins didin, shahriman and puyin [pôo yǐng/ผู้หญิง (that's little girl in thai, as her mother is from there)].

meeting sheryl & lich

aiyaa... i hate it when i got something to blog about but doesn't seems to have some spare time for it ;)

anyhow i was in kl for a day-trip last thursday. i went there just to send both my grandmother and mom. they went to jb on friday together with my two sisters and auntie for a cousin's wedding. that means i will come down to kl again this weekend for charlie's another wedding reception (groom's side) on saturday night. while on sunday morning, am gonna bring puteri and megat with my nephew shahriman, to watch disney on ice, 11am show at bukit jalil. i have bought the tickets way in january at music valley in greentown, ipoh.

so back to the story of my trip on last thursday, i had the chance to have lunch with sheryl and lich. we were supposed to meet at chilli's in klcc but since it was full, we met at aseana cafe instead. i was late. sorry ler... it was damn long time that i didn't get into those traffic-jam thingy, that i was cursing myself to be around the city especially during the peak hours. it was fun though i tell you. that was my first time meeting lich. we were laughing like hell when he told us about the day he met my mom few weeks ago hehe... sorry lar dude... i just can't stop laughing lol... the best part was when sheryl and i kissed goodbye. he was asking/teasing (?) me whether i wanna kissed him too. hey... i dun mind at all ler... its just a small matter. even i did the same with all my long time kl friends (including my former colleagues), no matter males or females. tu lar... dun play-play with me ek? thanks for the lunch anyway, although you were teasing me to belanja you in the first place. hey... tak gentleman ler kan, if you didn't belanja us, kan? ;) i will be there again during the weekend. if you are free, just hola!

the indon clans story

my grandmother's late elder sister married a guy (decease) from medan. that's how roughly we attached to the indonesian heritage a bit ;) unfortunately i have never been there yet. even kechik is likely knew more about it than me! lol... cuz she traveled there often. read more about her java travels here. i know i know... the places there are damn beautiful. ya i am sure i will stepped there someday.

so i was asked for trips there by our medan relatives earlier--"ha... kuE enggak pernah lagi jejak kaki ke medan. bila nya mau ke sana?" hehe... we met at my cousin ijoe's wedding reception at bukit chandan [that's where the masjid (mosque) ubudiah and istana (palace) iskandariah are located]. the akad nikah (solemnisation ceremony) was held last weekend at the bride's family place in gombak. i didn't go cuz i was so busy with my own agenda hehe... only mother, grandmother and some aunties went there. gosh!... i didn't even have the time to blog about my previous trip to kl, also with the school holidays :)

alright, back to ijoe's wedding reception, its just a simple one where only closed family and relatives were there; the spread of their indonesian food were so
scrumptious i tell you, all done from a gotong-royong by the indonesian clan--i like! o yes... do check out my plate, as it may looks familiar? if you don't get me, go here. that means it was indeed a truly kampung (village) style wedding.

my favourite pic this time is the above, of megat with his cousins shahriman and didin. view the rest of the pics in the slide below--

to ijoe & nita,
congratulations! may both of you live happily ever after...
love, chor!
