megat's haircut

we visited the barber yesterday--



and witnessed the transformation of the new megat!!! ;)

we were at yut loy earlier soon after picked up megat from his scouts activity. i was kinda surprised though when megat agreed to my suggestion to cut his hair at number 2 (the barber usually used razor blade number 2 for a 'crook cut' type hair)! i guess the last time megat had that type of hair when he was in the kindergarten.

our visit to the barber this time saw uncle rajendran alone without his older brother (pic here) who died because of high attack on 9 may 2008. they run the business together since 1975. go here and here to know more about them. anyhow uncle rajendran is lucky that an indian friend from penang came to give a helping hand.

a visit to the barber

the last time i took a pic of megat at a local indian barber was this one. hah! its not much different for the current one taken this afternoon (below pic), right? hehe... "maaa!!!... no photograph pleaseee", megat requested. i am sure he knew that this gonna be published here. unfortunately it was too late ;)


i was damn busy nowadays. today in fact is the first time i brought megat to cut his hair since the school starts. so now you people know that megat went to his first day of school this year without cutting his hair :D

and here's a pic taken at the same type of place about six years ago by my sister. the different here is that both the indian barbers have moved to a new nice and better place (refer above pic).

i brought megat to see a local barber. he has been using the uncles' (two indian man) service since he was small. as soon as we got in the shop, i told one of the barber roughly how megat wanted - "tepi dengan belakang, bawah, number two, atas cacak". a man who has done his, approached megat on his way out. he asked whether megat wanted to cut his hair like mawi. megat just kept quiet. oh no... enough of him! those time yes... when megat was still small, i asked the uncles to cut the whole megat's hair with a number two razor. simple as that. but now, since he has already growing-up, he knows whats best for him ;)
