the forgetful kuE

today is already the second day of ramadhan. unfortunately i already became forgetful— like nyanyuk ler... lol. sales office people just called, saying that i didn’t sign this morning' cheque. wargghhh... what happened?!! luckily she could 'kawtim' with the prai office people. i was asked to be there (prai) by 8am tomorrow to counter-sign the cheque, if not we will be faced some penalty charges that include a fine of RM300 and we also have to go with bank draft facilities instead of cheque. oh gosh... i have to be more careful in the future.

alright, i’ll get to go. one my sister is here. she is waiting for me to go together to the pasar ramadhan at
lembah, by the sungai perak (perak river). well, we are not going to buy anything there cuz grandmother already cooked so many food. we just wanna walk-around while taking some fresh air there. see ya...

babes where are you. miss you, yes november i plan to go there, kisses.

Gunner Thanks!!

salam ramadhan

good morning people around the world! today is the first day of ramadhan. as to make my kids happy and enjoy it, i baked chocolate chip muffins for them last night. kids really love it so much i tell you. both puteri and megat just ate a cup of the muffins, a mug of warm ovaltine and a glass of plain water. how’s yours.

megat is so excited to fast this time. like last year, he will get a-ringgit-a-day for a full-day fast. he left about six days out of a month i think. one of the funny incidents was that he forgot that he was fasting, when at one time he was watching the TV and took some chocolates from the fridge. suddenly his grandmother who came out from her room, asked him. “oh my god”, megat said. “sorry pom, i forgot. it’s alright lar pom”. then he continued to eat more and more lol.

to all muslims, happy fasting and enjoy the ramadhan with your loved ones.

high-5 status

one of the items that we sell in our c-store is high-5 bread products, along with other range from silver bird group berhad. now since the issue that it uses non-halal cooking oil as an ingredient came out, the sales of the product was down.

is this true? for us, we shall wait for a written official letter from the hq. what say you?

life is beautiful

a few days ago i was surprised when i received an invitation from Leilanie to join them at Life Is Beautiful. thank you so much dear. not forgetting the other two angels Nah and Ina. my first post there was about myself. next i will try my very best to contribute something in the blog.

guess what people. the best thing is that i am the only one who’s staying far-away from the rest (so far). it’s alright with the latest technology system that we have now that we could easily get in touch with each other.

puteri's new look

i dun feel like telling you all about what had happened today yet. the case will be continued tomorrow anyway. so it's best if i write about it maybe tomorrow onwards.

here i just wanna blog about puteri's new hair-style. we went to a local hair-saloon yesterday as promised. she has longing to have that new look and we promised to do it after her exams. megat was so happy when he saw puteri's new perm-style hair for the first time. he even mentioned that his sister's new hair is now looks like
vanessa anne hudgens who played brainy gabrilla in the new disney channel original movie high school musical! kids these days yea... they really know what's best for them including puteri. megat's time will be coming soon anyway, i know ;)

today is the day

good morning, all. finally in about an hour, my dad and i have to attend our court case for two days from today; after so many postponements. the case is for our bad incident happened on 25th july last year. yes! you read it right— it was already more than a year ago. i can't sleep well last night. there were butterflies in my stomach. i really hope that everything will go on well. wish us luck people.

79 this year

my grandmother just turned 79 today. how proud am i to be one of her many grandchildren (so lazy to count the current figures ler... lol) and the first grand-daughter among all.

puteri and i didn’t sleep the whole night you know. well, puteri did get some one to two hours sleep though. we started our baking session after 10pm last night. we baked butter cupcakes with some special decoration. i am very much understood that cupcakes are the “in” thingy at the moment. so we ought that why not if we too could try it this time around.

i was at the pc when my sister called the house telephone to wish grandmother. by that time i have already loaded some of the cup cakes pictures in my flickr account. wa lau lay… she asked grandmother about it. my god! she (grandmother) don’t know yet ler… it was a secret. then grandmother went back upstairs as she was in the mid of getting ready to come down. as soon as she entered the patio, which is also our day-time dining area; she was surprised when seeing the birthday cupcakes that puteri and i baked specially for her. she was in tears. the above picture was part of our creations. you could view more pictures here.

the main house telephone was like hot-line. everyone— mainly family, relatives and friends from far and near started calling grandmother. it was always like this every time. it was easy for them to get in touch with grandmother because we didn’t go anywhere this time. megat is still having his chicken-pox. i remember when i brought her to cameron highlands last year, my cell-phone was ringing non-stop as soon as we reached up there lol.

by noon, i brought grandmother and puteri out for lunch at a local cafĂ© called gate cafĂ©. we didn’t let her to cook today. if not, she likes to do the cooking herself almost everyday. when we were out, i also took the chance to send a box each of the cup cakes for two of my aunties (my dad's elder and younger sisters). they were not allowed to come to our place for the time being. their household got kids too, just afraid that the kids would catch megat’s virus ;)

we reached back home by 4.30pm. guess what people. i doze-off right away at our day-bed located at the patio, accompanied by megat. i managed to cover about 2 hours sleep— auntie kay who was happened to be here for a function dropped-by to see grandmother. hmm… never mind. i’ll make sure that i get a very good sleep tonight. how’s your weekend people. hope that you too had a great one.

getting ideas

*phew*

at last puteri’s exam ended yesterday. i guess the next thing to be worried is the results huhu… alright, maybe we set aside that for a while— release your mind kuE, do not worry so much lol.

it will be two more days until grandma’s birthday. puteri and i are planning to make some surprise for her. we gonna do it tomorrow night, after she went up to her room. normally grandma will go upstairs after dinner and will only come down the next day. her room is completed with
cable TV okay.

i am still in the mid of getting some ideas from
here. hope that everything will be going on as planned.

dup dap dup dap

the above title really tells of why on earth i haven’t up-date my blog for quite some time. puteri sat for her first day of 3-days UPSR exam this morning. she looks so damn cool. on the other hand, i was the one who felt so nervous. i dunno why. maybe when every time i saw her, i would also think that “my darling princess who was my normal-born baby about 11.5 years ago is now also my teenage girl”. most of her sizes are bigger than mine now i.e. her vital-statistics except that i am still a bit taller than her. more over when she told me last week that she wished to change her hair-style after her exams— from straight to curly. “ohh… it really shows that she’s getting older and knows what’s best for her”, i thought to myself.

i received sms from
Leilanie, wishing her good luck. unfortunately puteri was already somewhere in the school compound. thank you dear. i’ve told puteri when i fetched her from school anyway. she said thank you and hugs back to you.

kuE… my wishes and good luck goes to PU3 today and the next few days of her UPSR exams. hugs to her…”

even both my sisters were here during the weekend to give a full support for puteri before her exams today.

i went to ipoh last saturday with puteri and grandma. the main reason was to get some fabrics for the coming hari raya. wow... its gonna be raya soon. how fast the time past. i guess its just like a few days ago when i posted about getting fabrics for
last hari raya. so did you realize that megat didn’t follow us? he has to stay at home for about two weeks since last friday. he complaint that he was ‘dedo’ ~ pronounced 'the' and 'door' (perak word for warm body temperature, almost fever). i gave him the children’s chewable-cherry-flavour panadol tablet with hope that he will be okay by the next morning. when i checked on him the next day, his temperature was a bit high. alright, so i thought it’s just a normal fever that i didn’t allow megat to go to school. i was having breakfast with grandma when suddenly megat showed his body with a few red-spots. grandma thought that he was having miscles. fine. megat followed me when i wanted to fetch puteri in school. we went straight to the clinic. with only a glance, the doc said that megat is actually having chicken-pox auww... we were kinda worried though for puteri as she is having her exams this week. puteri never had this yet.

last two saturdays were spent in ipoh too by watching movies with kids—
click (19th) and monster house (26th). sorry people, no time to write some reviews on this. what i could say is that we really enjoyed the movies so much. its nice to watch with the kids.

merdeka @ 49

today marks the malaysia's 49th national day. as usual there would always be the national day grand parade where kuching was the host for this year. well i remember that i did join once when it was held here in kuale for the district level, during my school days. i was one of those students represented girl guides.

here's something about the above picture that i picked from
bernama-

" The people's objective and dreams were reached on the night of August 30, 1957 at the Padang Selangor Club (now Dataran Merdeka) where the Union Jack flag was lowered for the last time and the Malayan flag was proudly raised.

The following day a new independent nation was born with Tunku Abdul Rahman declaring the Malayan Independence at the Merdeka Stadium. The historical event was attended by thousands of citizens, the Malay Rulers, the Duke of Gloucester (representing the Queen) and other representatives from the British government. The day was a most important and glorious day for all Malayans (then) and Malaysians today, for after 446 long years of colonisation, our land finally became a sovereign independent nation. "

kuE's note: to all malaysians- happy 49th national day!

young vs old

my mom simply switched on to tv3 channel last monday, during the live telecast of siti's akad nikah ceremony. she told me that megat asked her to show him, siti's husband. "HARRR?!!!", questioned megat. megat was puzzled when his pom pointed her right thumb to datuk k lol.

so last night, grandma said she rather watched
mawi-ina programme than siti’s wedding. but at one time she changed the channel during that tv-ads. as soon as megat saw it that time, he said, “ee… siti kahwin dengan orang tua kan mama (siti married with an old man right mama)”.

not as easy as i thought

wow... i awoke at almost 8am yesterday morning.

i called him as soon as i wake-up. he was still at work. our time difference is +/- 16 hours apart. we discussed a bit about the arrangement for my trip there. if everything goes well, we might be seeing each other for the first time after three years or so of our relationship, when i fly there on 14 September 2006. the problem now is for me to get the visa. the
canadian immigration requested me to submit so many personal documents including my financial and properties proof. he also has to prepare an invitation letter for me. gosh… wonder what’s all that for.

oh god, please help us. we can't wait no more.

busy body

some of my take-out food at mcD not ready yet. so i have been asked to wait. the girl also gave me a small cup of coke. i don't take gas drink no more actually. but since i was kinda thirsty that afternoon, never mind lor. i proceed to a table facing the counter.

suddenly when a lady cleaner passed by me, she asked whether i know her boss. "o yea... dia ada buat birthday party kat kuale dulu (he organised a birthday party in kuale last time)", i told her. then i just smiled to her. was that a fake smile? lol. i don't feel good though when she asked me that sort of question. mind your own business ler kan. i guess maybe she saw me talking to her boss earlier.

i brought two of my staff to a customer service course organised by the company, in
seri malaysia hotel yesterday morning. we had our lunch there.

as usual whenever i go out of town for work, i will definitely get something for my kids before i go back. i decided to buy mcD food for kids and the rest of my staff. i was lucky that i parked my 4wd right infront of the restaurant. my staff didn't want to follow, so i went down alone. when i walked to the counter, i saw one of the female staff that i recognised, standing not so far behind the counter. we waved and smiled to each other. i dunno her name though lol. i knew her since the day she came to our house with esther and two other male staff. i catered mcD food for megat's 5th birthday two years ago.

the cashier already asked me for my order. when i was half way told her what i wanted, a male staff walked towards the girl. i knew that guy too. he was one of the male staff that came along with esther. yea... we have met so many times but we dunno our names lol.

"hie", i greeted him.

"i see that you always come down to ipoh".

"yes. minimum is once a week. i always come for meeting or something. but today i brought two of my staff for a course in seri malaysia". he was looking around. "oh, they are in the car waiting for me", i continued.

"maybe next time you could have a meeting here".

"o yes?".

"why not".

"i'll see how. i am one of the committee in my task force. maybe i could suggest something".

"alright".

"so what's your name. we always met but i never got the chance to know your name". i saw his mouth moving but i didn't manage to hear him quite well. gosh... how is this. the environment was a bit noisy. i can't hear. "oh, saiful". gee... i hope he couldn't hear me lol.

"and you are...", i saw his eyes was looking at my name, on my uniform. he then said my name out loud and smiled. "wait. i'll give you my card so that it will be easy for you to call me next time". i nodded, agreed. my big round eyes were more bigger after i had a look at his card. his name is zulkefle and not saiful ler... lol. he is also the restaurant manager ;)

then i continue ordering my take-out food. i had to wait. that was when the lady worker asked whether i knew her boss or not. grr... if you think you wanna be friendly to me, that's not the way lor... btw i didn't comment anything to her as i know how to respect other people older than me. plus maybe i was a bit good that time. but if she was younger than me, i am sure that i would tell her off, the same as
the big-mouth girl last time :P

the new american quran ~ a dangerous TRICK

i received this from a forwarded email by one of my colleague-

The True Furqan

You Cant Ignore this, send it to as many muslims as u can.

The new AMERICAN Quran: a dangerous trick. A new Quran is being distributed in Kuwait, titled "The True Furqan". It is being described as the ayats of the Shaytan and Al-Furqan weekly magazine has found out that the two American printing companies;'Omega 2001' and 'Wine Press' are involved in the publishing of 'The True Furqan', a book which has also been titled 'The 21st Century Quran'! It is over 366 pages and is in both the Arabic and English languages...it is being distributed to our children in Kuwait in the private English schools! The book contains 77 Surats, which include Al-Fatiha, Al-Jana and Al-Injil. Instead of Bismillah, each Surat begins with a longer vesion of this incorporating the Christian belief of the three spirits.

And this so called Quran opposes many Islamic beliefs. in one of its ayats it describes having more than one wife as fornication, divorce being non-permissable and it uses a new system for the sharing out of the will, opposing the current one. It states that Jihad is HARAAM.

This book even goes as far as attacking Allah, Subhanahu wa Tahala!

All this is poisoning our children at approx. $3.

Brothers and Sisters please make sure you forward this
email to as many people as possible so that we can stop this dangerous trick.

Please tell everyone you know and may Allah reward you.

kuE's note: "the true furqan" is FAKE. please

trained them from young

this actually happened last week. but it took me sometime to post it here as (you know...) i was damn busy like a bee with kids and work. at the meantime i took the chance to draft this post in my mind lol.

we were on the way back from school one day last week. puteri told me that some of her school friends never and/or do not even know some light, simple and basic house chores. she was kinda surprised. i explained to her that maybe her friend's parents employed maids that's why. anyhow, i also told puteri that whatever it is we as females in the family have to know and do some simple works at home. we can't just depends on other people. those are for our own good, not for the benefit of others. i am glad that my puteri understand my explanation very well. so that means it was okay for her to do and helped me with some of the house chores. we do not have maids at home. we did all the works together including my grandmother, parents and my kids.

guess what people. some people were shocked when we answered to their questions about us having maids. serious. we never employ any maids at all. even during my marriage life in kl before too. maybe people were surprised cuz they knew we live in a big bungalow house. but without maids (?) lol.

for puteri, she will make her bed every morning herself. she also has been trained to make sure that her wardrobe is neat- clothes folded and hanged properly. puteri also already has the habit to wash her own plates everytime after meal. she will even helped us to wash some of others sometimes. every saturday morning is the time for her to wash her school shoes. she has done this since she was eight years old. while i will do it for megat. in fact megat knows that he will do the same soon. besides that, i did the laundry myself every early morning. now you know why i wakes-up at 5am daily. but on weekends, i would normally do that together with puteri.

as you could see, i am proud that puteri could be independent in case we have to be apart. like i told puteri, not to curse or tease her friends who dunno anything about house works. in this case, its just like 'mind your own business'. in other words, different people got different style of trained their generations. in the end, we could see of whose who is better among all ;)

taukey?

hehe... bukan. tauke punya anak.

the chinese man was shocked when he has been informed that i am the boss here lol. i guess its as usual like anybody else who saw me for the first time. maybe he was wondering whether i am really the boss with a petite size haha... never mind, this is me, what to do ;)

don't they have a life

azah and her brother nizam dropped-by here a while ago for them to fax a police report to the ipoh sales office (ISO). they have just reported about a robbery case happened in their work place early this morning around 7.40 am. i could still remember that azah and her mom faced a different kind of robbery case also last year. they were on their way back home to ipoh. it happened about two months before my case. this time the indian robbers used parang. it seems they even attacked the customer who shouted for help. that's what i know so far. i don't dare to ask her no more. maybe next time. i managed to listen to her story while waiting for the fax to go through anyway.

damn the robbers... don't they have a life.

birthday, birthday and more birthdays

today is
shafinaz' birthday. i sms her this morning- "dear shafinaz, happy birthday to you and many happy returns of the day. luv, chor!".

but here at work we celebrated two of my staff' birthday. both of which already passed- 11th july and 1st august. i kept both cakes and some goodies at home. so i asked both of them to go the bank. while they were out, we got ready everything in my office. we had our weekly meeting outside as soon as they came back. then i asked everyone to go into my office for the celebration. both of them (the birthday boys) were surprised indeed. i also gave them a pair of
tgv complimentary tickets each, that my sister gave me through mom on last saturday. mom was in kajang with dad for a relative wedding. i have a pair left- that's mine lor lol ;)

kuE's note: i always remember my grandma's taboo ~ we are not allowed to celebrate a birthday in advance- its not good at all. but its always okay if we celebrate it on the actual day onwards. i was worried when leilanie and her friends celebrated their birthdays together. if i'm not mistaken, leilanie's birthday has passed before the day they celebrated it but not the other two i think. so please ladies, if you plan to do the same in the future, please make sure that you fix a date after your birthdays. it was just my two cents anyway. its all up to you to think.

the truth revealed

puteri and me were watching america's next top model last night when suddenly we heard a sound of a car. i took a peek from the window blinds. it was a grey colour gen2. oikk... i thought to myself that that must be the lady. maybe she came with her hubby. wahh... can't wait till next day meh? i was already in my pjs. no way am gonna meet her. so i asked mom. dad went to taiping. mom let them in. she (mom) tried to act cool. she even served them coffee.

at the same time, i told puteri that we better adjourned to mom's room to watch the show. i sms dad. then dad called, asked me to get all the staff for an urgent meeting in 1/2 an hour. mom asked the lady and hubby to go to our work-place when dad has arrived. i dunno what they discussed. but then my clerk F sms me, saying that the lady remembered that she submitted the customer's loyalty card application form on the same day the incident happened. wa lau ley... there you go- it was on the 1st NOT on 2nd. wakakakaaaa... when F showed dad the form, the hubby's face turned red. so dad still let them see the recorded video for the 1st' afternoon. it was around 1408 hours. thanks to our "
mr bola-bola", located at the ceiling near the cashier counter. it clearly showed that the lady gave my morning shift cashier on 1st august, two RM10.00 notes- she was terkejut beruk i tell you (i saw from last night's recorded video)! lol. i am sure she didn't sleep well yesterday.

well, thank god too that last night was hari khamis, malam jumaat. dad gave them RM50.00 as a
sedekah. at first the hubby didn't want to accept it. but then dad told him, "tak pe... ni kira sedekah. kalau awak tak nak, bagi je plak pada orang lain buat sedekah".

*phew* case settled.

anyhow i still wanna type a report about this case for my area manager asap. at least if the lady complaint anything to the hq, they have already get the thorough explanation ;)

kuE's note: i am going to spent a quality weekend with kids tomorrow. we didn't get the chance last week. i hope that you people will have a great weekend with your loved ones too... chiao!

comment please #2

comment please #1

wow... three post in one day! i'm breaking my own record? lol. anyhow... whatever it is i have to post this so that i could release some tension here.

there was this malay lady customer who purchased a RM20.00 item yesterday afternoon. even she herself not really sure of the exact time. she just said that it was maybe on her way back after school hours. she is a teacher mind you. it seems that she has mistakenly gave the cashier a RM10.00 note and a RM100.00 note, instead of two RM10.00 notes. oh gosh... hearing that really makes my heart boiling mann... yesterday's morning shift' till was balanced. now she was trying to blame it on us. i told her that maybe she left it somewhere. she was assured that she gave her RM100.00 note to the cashier blah blah blah... she was in my office with my two staff when i came back after lunch. they were watching the recorded video of yesterday's happenings via our cctv. hah! thank god our premise got cctv. to our surprised, there were no sign of her came into our place at all, between 1pm to 4pm. she even accused that maybe we have edit the video. wahh... got like that one mah?!! grr... i was even felt more angry with that lady. in my mind, i know that i have to face this type of customer. customer is always right, yes. but not in this case lor...

both my parents were in ipoh yesterday, visiting a friend at IGH. i remember before she left yesterday, i told her that i will call her if my dad comes back early. if not, i will do it tomorrow instead. let her settle with the big boss!

so how people. what would you do if that happened to you too. i guess its all because of her carelessness, that she wanna blame it on others? not my type. i have faced the same maybe once or twice. but what to do, it was my fault. i have learned from my own mistakes anyway ;)

young at heart always

hai... apa macam. lu dari mana.

tunggu anak lar, dia tuition sana dekat.

ohh... darjah belapa.

sape? itu anak? dia sudah darjah satu.

ohhhhh... ini?

dia nombor satu. sudah darjah enam.

hah?!!! darjah enam? wah sudah manyak busat wohh...
wa ingat lu punya adik.

adik semua kat kolumpo lar. ini nombor satu punya anak.

aiyaa... wa memang ingat ini lu punya adik.

hahaha... puteri were smiling. followed by ah teng and me. we went to ah teng's grocery shop while waiting for megat at his mandarin tuition class. before that i fetched puteri from her extra class. that row of shop-houses are just a few blocks from our place. fyi too, we have known ah teng and family from our older generations. just like our punjabi neighbour. ah teng was damn surprised when seeing puteri who looks much more bigger than i am lol.

can you spot the hornbills?

here's a pic from this morning's visit. let us do some eye-test people. do you think that you could locate the hornbills ;)

tough weekend

yes. last weekend was the toughest one ever for me. i had sleepless nights and damn tired right now. i will try and sleep early tonight.

azah and laila picked me up on friday. we reached seberang jaya at about 4.30pm. unfortunately sunway hotel was fully booked. so we checked-in to pearl view hotel instead. we went out in less than half an hour. we headed to gurney plaza. hehe... where else for us women right- shopping lol. another friend siti joined us from there. she was also my room-mate. not enough there, we went to the night market at batu feringgi also. guess what people. we were still there at midnight lol. by the time i was in bed it was already two something *phew*. by 8am, we have to be at the first check-point for the treasure hunt activity. the event was fun indeed although we were a bit tired. we didn't go straight back after lunch. but a friend in penang insisted to buy us penang delicacies. i was already really tired by this time. we left butterworth at 5pm or so. on our way back, laila asked to drop-by bmlr. so we stopped there for a while, walked around and drove back home. the worst part here was that i left my fon at home (forgot to bring it lor). when i came back, i saw quite a number of messages and missed calls lol.

while yesterday, actually i have to be in taman samudera, seri manjung by 8am (reason: refer
here). i was a bit late. you know, i awoke late blah blah blah lol. i had some trouble when i almost reach my destination. i saw smokes came out from my engine. luckily i had more than 17 years of driving experience. so i could say that i know how to handle the situation. lucky me too that the engine stopped as soon as i parked my 4wd nicely. i told some male colleagues about it. we went to my 4wd after lunch. we found out that the radiator hose leaked. gosh... thank God there were some shops opened along the road there on a sunday. by the time i reached home, it was already almost 8pm. i really thought that i should have an early sleep. but csi ny then csi miami started at 10pm. another less sleep last night. now i guess i must make sure that i get an early sleep tonight, no matter what.

so how about you people. did you spent your weekend wisely. btw have a great week ahead yea mwahh...

don't wait

puteri was surprised when i came back with some stuff that i bought from guardian the other day. she was wondering of why i bought them since we still have some at home. i have to explain it to her that its my style. i like to buy things especially our needs ie toiletries; when they are on sale. almost everything were sold on value packs. besides, i have to get some women needs in double ever since puteri became my 'anak dara' late last year. ya lor... last time i only bought them for myself. but now, puteri is using them too. i also bought some make-up items that were on discounted prices. now that puteri understand we don't have to wait until our stuff finished, to buy a new one. so she learned something new ;)

i might be staying in penang tonight. azah is coming to pick me up in a few hours. we will be going for a treasure hunt activity there with other colleagues. while on sunday, there's a 3-on-3 basketball game in taman samudera, organised by maba with our company. how about you people. i hope that you will have a great weekend too! ciao...

so this is kuE*

* asked
rose' hubby, when i walked her towards the car.

"yes, this is me hehe..."

rose was here for a short trip to hand-over some forms to the land office, in reference to
her late-dad's land i think. i was in the office when rose suddenly appeared at the door. i was extremely happy when i saw her eventhough it was just for a short while. after she left, then only i remember that i forgot to snap pics with her AGAIN. maybe we were so busy catching-up on things. maybe next time yea... till we meet again sis mwahh...

life is way too short

this sms alert that i received about 1/2 an hour ago really surprised me-

25/7 Actor Hani Mohsin Hanafi, 41, collapsed and died at the LCCT terminal in Sepang at 9.30am while waiting to board a flight to Alor Star/STAR

fyi he was a budak koleq. i always saw him every year in town whenever there's an old boys weekend held in mckk. looks like we won't see him no more. may he would rest in peace. amin.

kuE's update on 27/07/06- wow looks like everyone did a special entry on this. dun believe me? check it out here (this one for sure, including lotsa pics some more), here, here and here.

this is cool too!*

i read KC's post on mariah carey's dressing room. i saw the house on mtv cribs quite some time ago. it was way too cool especially her bedroom. thus this reminds me of my cousin winnie's room in ipoh. mati (dead) i if she knows that i took pics of her room without her knowledge lol. the last time i went there was on my birthday, remember. it was tremendously cool. the bedsheet set (from metrojaya, mid valley) matched with the wall-to-wall carpet. even for my own room its not complete yet, almost more than two years already! its all because i have the initiative to do it myself. but in a certain way, i know that my time is very limited. that's the only problem. its alright kuE... do it slowly for your own good ;)

* to echo KC :)

kuE's quilts ~ show & tell #1

i have been wanted to post this for quite some time. now here it is the part 1 of my show and tell.

some of you may not know yet that quilting is used to be part of my passion since about 7+ years ago. but too bad i do not have the time for it ever since i ventured into this business. anyhow i do missed it now and then especially when i have some times for myself. i didn't go for any quilting classes. i am a self-taught. i learned every single things about quilting from the internet. that's where i knew how to cut triangle or square or hexagon blocks without any template. that's also where i started to understand some of glossary of the quilting terms like applique, basting, fusible web, chain piecing, ufo etc. then i joined some of the on-line quilting groups. i have known new quilting friends from other countries especially u.s., canada, germany, australia and many more. they were so helpfull. i also had the chance to swap fabrics, blocks etc with them. there were truly a wonderful experience. we are still friends and keep in touch with each other until now anyway. that's the best thing about quilting.

here's some pics of my one of the very first quilts that i have sewn. i named it world sun-bonnet-sue quilt, if i'm not mistaken. i made it for puteri's birthday, five years ago i think.

this quilt was machine-pieced and hand-quilted. while we sew the blocks using paper-pieced method. it was one of my special one because the blocks came from seven other countries from a block swap that i did with my on-line quilting friends. the sue's dress must indicate our own country ie canada - maple leaf, japan - oriental, malaysia - batik etc. i sew the squared borders from a fabric swaps that i did from other swap.

can you guess which one was my block.

here's puteri showing the back view of the quilt. each of us have to include a signature block. i sew it at the back to show whose block was who.

the real-life action drama

guess what people. our house backyard is being guard by the police at the moment, since afternoon. the forest police joined them later around 5 or 6pm. before that also, they were some police from ipoh came with two german shephards. kuale don't have that, that's why. strange huh?!! lol.

we were at work as usual. suddenly we heard some very loud police siren from north. then there were some police cars passed our place. within seconds, the main road has been blocked by them. we were wondering of what had happened. we worked as normal, didn't even think of anything bad.

not long after that mom called, asking me to send maybe five bottles of
100 plus. she wanna give the drinks to some of the policemen who were in our house compound. according to her, they were chasing a chinese robber who ran away to the forest from our backyard. if you all know how a kampung-style house looks like is, you should also know that our house do not have any single gates at all. the only thing is that our house is made by concrete. previously yes. but dad renovated it more than 20 years ago.

back to the drama, dad was the one who talked to the police, to get the true pictures. it seems that the robbery at a goldsmith in penang happened quite a number of days ago. the robbers thought that they could sell the golds elsewhere a far. so they ran-off with a grey colour
wira. wa lau ley... such a fool robbers kan. they should use imported cars instead- more power lol. with information's from police in penang, they managed to chase the robbers from the plus highway. unfortunately when the robbers realized that they have been chased, they turned into kuale inter-change. thus the local police blocked the main road to town. thus the robbers stopped at the shop-houses near us. they still wanna run. at last, local police caught them under the drain lol. too bad, one of them ran away.

a lot of thinking

"mom asked how you are and the kids. i said fine. is hot there 34. the garden is good and the fruit trees almost ready to harvest".

"i accept him (megat), your daughter and you, no matter what".

"yes i accept, i will convert soon".

"like i said i did alot of thinking".

"yes hun big muslim population here in vancouver. is ok. dont worry".

"all is settled in my heart *tut* ".

"a lot of prayer and thinking and decisions made".

i guess i am feeling much better now.

kuE's note:
Leilanie, dear. thank you so much for your concerned. it was not about the kids, don't worry. they are like the diamonds of my life. i am okay now. insya allah, i am gonna fly there soon. whatever it is, i will surely keep you informed ;)

ain't not in straight line

i am so glad that i have such a good and lovely friend like V around. especially when i'm facing with some personal problems recently. he was in ipoh for a short trip this morning. he sms me, but then he called me too to ask about my conditions. its hard to talk on the fon anyway. so we might be seeing each other for coffee or something when he comes back on thursday. he has a meeting in kl tomorrow. if not, he could just wait until his next appointment-cum-work.

Monday, June 26, 2006

he apologized

"i am not perfect but i know i love you and it will never happen again", he said.

not in the mood

i have just came back from seeing megat in school. he never requested me to do it. but me as a woman whose also a mom, feels like only my kids could make me feel good when i'm feeling down. megat was really surprised indeed when he saw me walked-in his classroom during recess time. he was standing near chai tong who was eating. while chai tong's mom was there too, accompanying her daughter. megat forgot to bring his pocket money. thats why i quickly went there. i brought along a fillet 'o' fish burger, that i bought in taiping yesterday. megat was really happy. i knew that he was hungry by then. i love you so much darling.

before that i had some misunderstanding with my dad about work. it really makes me like being out of this world. thus suddenly i thought of megat who left his money on the chair. i straight away heated the burger, took my handbag and drove-off. i felt so relieve as soon as i stepped-on the school's compound. some of megat's senior saw me walking towards megat's classroom. i smiled at them. some of them even waived at me and said, " hai, auntie". oh, children... aren't they wonderful.

alright, that was this morning. i had another thing that really makes me feel down. i do not think whether i should tell you people about it. only certain people knew about this bad news actually including V- you know who you are. i was so lucky that i had the chance to tell V personally when we met on last tuesday. we talked- basically catching-up on stuff we missed. we just relaxing doing nothing than having some snacks, while watching our favourite channel axn or star world or star movies. well, from what had happened, i could say that i was such a fool for wasting my bloody times of more than two years or so :(

it's been a while

wow... its been quite some time since my last post here in my blog. that shows that i was really busy than usual. normally, i could at least post something short or long depends on my availability.

i was in kl on last sunday for my lil bro's engagement at dewan perdana felda. since i'm going to taiping shortly for an appointment at zoo taiping, i leave you all with some pics of the function. enjoy people!

as usual, girl cousins never wanna be left out in taking nice and great pics. here's us (except cousin sarah) with the 7 hantaran (gifts) from our side. as you could see, all the gifts were wrapped- fyi thats the original perak wedding tradition i.e. all gifts are to be wrapped nicely especially the personal things like clothes, handbag, toiletries etc. shafinaz's family members were surely surprised ;)

puteri and megat with the lovely couple

shafinaz's side brought 9 gifts, while we brought 7

here's one of the unique one from shafinaz- a tray of heart-shaped chocolate with my lil' bro's initial on it. cute kan.

get well soon, my dear safiya

as usual, i did my once-in-a-while routine to check on puteri's fon this morning, after i re-arranged her wardrobe. i guess its not wrong for me as a mother to do it on my kids. its definitely my rights right people.

it was on puteri's bed. i saw that there's an unread message received at +/- 0015. i click it. i was surprised when the message was from my cousin sarah in austria. her daughter safiya has been admitted to the children's ward of dehydrating because of vomitting so many times. they are supposed to reach klia on thursday +/- 3am with grandma, just on time for them to join us for my lil bro's engagement this sunday. now i dunno how is it gonna be like. with help from Allah the allmighty, i pray that safiya will be in good condition. i love you so much mwahhh...

kuE's note: the above pic has been taken on 21 may '06 in prague, maybe by safiya's dad. they were on their way down praha tower.

testing

kuE's note: this is just a test, blogging from my fon nokia 6680. i guess this is all thanks to my mobile-phone service provider maxis for being the best in providing this service. maxis would always be my #1 choice. i registered for maxis3G for quite some time. the best thing was when i tried to browse blogger site from my fon before, it said that the site could not be accessed ie i could view but i can't blog. i dunno why. finally i was so happy when i tried to browse the site just now. i could click all those buttons easily as normal, like how i use my pc yippeee!!!... now i could blog from anywhere and whenever i wanna except that i can't post pics here ;)

hait!

arigato gozaimasu ;)

we stood by the road-side around noon. the emperor of japan was in the same limousine with the regent of perak (the first limo- far left) while the empress was with the sultan's daughter raja eleena (right). the emperor was so nice. he opened the car window and looked at the people of kuale while waving at them.

sayonara... we hope to see you again HERE ;)

kuE's note: i met a new friend zetty from ipoh that afternoon. she and her family were on their way to a wedding. thus they have to stop for a while as the polices have blocked all the road access to give way to the royal entourage. guess what people. zetty asked me about my age. she was shocked when i told her that i was 34. she's only 21. she kept asking me to tell her the truth lol. she thought that i was in my early 20s hehe... ;)

a quick get-away

after having such a wonderful day at sunway tambun last week, kids were asking for another great holiday together. this time we went for a 2D/1N stay at bukit merah laketown resort.

at first we thought of going on friday since puteri does not have any ballet class this week. her extra classes in school were only from monday till thursday anyway. but suddenly the other morning i remembered that i was invited for an indian wedding reception here on friday too! so off we went there within an hour after puteri's extra class on thursday. we knew that the place must have been busy especially during the school holidays. that was what we were looking forward to. if not the place would be so damn quiet. we reached there almost 2pm. we were starving. so we headed straight to the coffe house for a buffet lunch, that was okay. a friend managed to get us a 3-bedrooms apartment at their lakefront villa. he also gave us a complimentary wetpark combo package, that include wetpark, orang utan island, ecopark and a choice of chairlift or skycycle.

we checked-in to our apartment after lunch. kids can't wait to get into the water that time. i hate to make them dissappointed. alas i asked them to get ready. believe it or not we were already in the waterpark by 4pm. the best thing was their mama also changed into her swimming gear. that makes a life-guard questioned megat.

"sape dengan adik ni (who is with you)", the life-guard asked megat.

"mama".

"ye ke".

"ya", megat assured him.

"bukan kakak?". alamak...
not again hehe... i just kept quiet. didn't want to bother the guy. megat just looked at me and smiled.

we were there for more than two-hours i think. puteri said that she was hungry again. this time we went to the food stalls at the marina village. we didn't go back to our apartment since then. we spent our times there by wandering around. we missed the sunset cruise because it was drizzling, afraid that it was cancelled. we waited for night cruise then at 9.30pm. we cruised through the orang utan island and back. we stopped at the ecopark. we had a great time visiting the ecopark at night.

i woke-up at 8am the next day. wow... i really had a good nice one. so long i never had a complete 8-hours sleep you know. we had our breakfast at food stalls in marina village too. it was raining heavily. eventually all of us got wet eventhough we were sitting in the middle area! grr... should i complaint this to V :

while it was still raining, we enjoyed ourselves at the games area. we managed to ride the day cruise at 11.30am to orang utan island. the orang utan island is an eco-tourism attraction where these primates roam about freely. visitors will be able to observe the orang utans in their natural habitat as they are bred as part of the rehabilitation and preservation process to prevent them from becoming extinct. we stopped by at the ecopark again using the same complimentary package that my friend gave me. if you love animals then you should not miss this. we did watch the animal show at 12.30pm. its fun though. at pet park, visitors are allowed to feed the animals like deer, hamster, rabbit and such. kids were delighted to see the tortoise. this reminds me of my pet tortoise on-on when i was small. i cried when it ran-away after i took care of him for few years. his size was way bigger than an adult's palm. that memories makes me willing to buy a pair for both puteri and megat, without them needed to begging me so much. we went back to marina village by chairlift. we had our lunch at none other than mcD in taiping as requested by my beloved kids.

all in, it was an enjoyable and memorable vacation. even more precious was the family bonding we shared during the holiday.

i hope that you enjoyed the above slide with pictures taken during the holiday. i guess its a good way to up-load a number of pictures without any hassle.

i will also be loading another slide that shows pictures of the indian wedding reception that we attended last night. that was the first time for the kids. while several times for me. the best thing last night was that i met my former english teacher in primary school mrs silva. she still looks the same as before ;)

kuE's note: sorry people. my entry this time is rather long yea. i guess its all up to my mood. sometimes it could just be so quick and simple like this one ;)

japanese flags in the royal town

a writer from bernama wrote mainly about ipoh. from what we understand, emperor akihito and empress michiko of japan will visit kuale on 10 june 2006. they will only be arriving from sultan azlan shah airport in ipoh around 9am. roads to kuale will be closed as soon as they reached ipoh. looks like we can't go out anywhere too. from there they will be coming here right away. among their visit spots are include mckk (they supposed to do this during mckk's 100th year celebration last year), galeri sultan azlan shah and sungai (river) perak where the royal couples wanted to experience the boat ride from one jetty to another.

i ain't a virgin no more

suddenly this morning i thought of my best friend kay who called me on sunday.

kay : *tut* (my real nick-name), you remember my friend whose with me when we met last friday.

(i went to kinta city with kids, after the
tambun trip last friday. kay, with her colleague passed-by us when we were eating at secret recipes.)

me : yea... why.

kay : she thought that you are 'anak dara' tau.

me : ha?!!

kay : yes... i'm not kidding. she was so surprised when i told her that the two kids who were with you are your children.

we were giggling. then we continued our conversation more on the fon.

this reminds me of an incidence in tambun last week too. i was accompanying megat floating along lost world's
adventure river. when suddenly we came across a group of guys. i heard some of them asked megat, "dik... boleh mintak fon number kakak (can i ask for your sister's fon number) ". megat looked at me. i just kept quiet. we continued floating along the river :P

i always faced this kinda problem especially with those people who saw or met me for the first time. strangers also would guess my age as an early 20s gal. what do you think people. you could have a look at my latest pic
here.

the devil's day?

let's watch the this day very carefully. i have a feeling a lot will happen. but shrouded in secrecy.

first and last

i was so terribly out of my mind since last friday, the day i brought kids to lost world of tambun for the second time. the first time was on the first day of 2006 if i'm not mistaken.

i had a very bad head-ache. i even felt like throwing-out. why? its all because i went on the
stormrider. before that i tried on the swing chair ride that i really had fun riding it with my kids. unfortunately when i was in the mid of riding the stormrider, my head was spinning around like hell. i even heard megat told his chor that he was afraid if mama gonna throw-out. so i closed my eyes and bent down huhu... as soon as i got down, i told myself that i wont be going on that 'thing' no more- so scary man. tell you what people- that was my first time riding those kind of thingy. that also gonna be my last!

from there, i quickly dipped into lost world's natural spring-fed pool. arrgghhhh... i felt so relief, so relaxing there.

megat's 7th birthday

megat turns 7 today! unfortunately i had to attend a company seminar in sunway hotel, seberang jaya with my dad and a staff this morning. i kissed and hugged megat before i go this morning. but then he continued his sleep. whatever it is i have explained this to megat since last week. luckily he is already big enough to understand the situation. also lucky me that the function only held until lunch time. at least i could spend the other half of the day with my kids.

i asked dad to dropped-by at
secret recipe in auto city, seberang jaya. that was my first time there actually. hmm... no wonder its called auto city- shops there only sell vehicles and f&b lol. i bought a lemon cheese cake. too bad by the time we reached home, the toppings melted. ahh... who cares. its the love that matters. two of megat's cousins joined us in the evening. you could see them in the pictures, so cheeky and naughty ;)

we just had a very simple celebration this time. my grandma (megat's lau po-po), one of my sister and an auntie and her family are in europe that's why. anyhow my sister did call me when i was still in sj. maybe she thought that megat was with me. but later she called puteri's fon, to wish megat happy birthday. maybe someday i still need to plan another celebration with other family members and megat's friends. that's what grandma has been thinking. anyway we'll see how...

megat already started receiving birthday messages and gifts from few days ago. my dad bought him a digital camera on tuesday. he (dad) gave it to megat straight away after he came back that day. dad really had no patience at all, can't even wait for the big day.

yesterday, we met
leilanie in ipoh. we were a bit late, as we only went there after puteri finished her extra class in school. they waited for us at the parking area outside kinta city, while eating kuaci, i tell you. we then went to a coffee shop in canning garden. we didn't manage to eat ipoh hor fun as the stall already closed. sorry dear, probably because of our lateness. before we adjourned, leilanie gave megat his birthday present. megat can't wait to open it on the actual day you know. he remembered leilanie's advised to only open it on megat's birthday. he even placed the wrapped gift besides him when he slept that night. sweet huh?!! megat told me that he unwrap the gift this morning. thank you so much dear. megat loves the book so much- 366 amazing facts. puteri also received something from leilanie- two butterfly hair clips. she really loves them so much. she even wore it right away. for us, i gave leilanie the shortbread biscuit that we baked the night before. i understand that she loves shortbread!

as usual, we never forget to take lotsa pictures. here's some of the pics taken by leilanie's hubby fariz using my nokia 6680 except the second one, taken by me. please
click here for more pics by leilanie.

we didn't go back yet after that. we headed back to kinta city to get some baking stuff. at the same time, we looked for megat's present. he chose it himself this time- cars dirt car track (pic above).

to my darling megat, happy 7th birthday. mama loves you sooooo much!!!

puteri & me' specialities

good morning people.

i know by the time i'm typing this,
Leilanie is already on the plus highway, driving her way to ipoh with her hubby and some relatives if i'm not mistaken. she sms me about 10 minutes ago saying that she has just left home. we gonna meet in ipoh for lunch. they are so eager to try ipoh hor fun (flat noodles).

here's a self-pic of puteri and me while we were doing some baking last night. we baked two short-bread biscuits- one for Leilanie and one for home ;)

my dad came to the kitchen following the smell of the biscuits. he asked of whose that for this time.

short-bread again?", my dad asked. both puteri and me nodded.

"haa... this is like your specialities. since you two are great in baking this, why don't you just sell this with a reasonable price." added my dad.

"what???", i was terribly surprised with my dad's comment.

"yea... why not." he continued. then he left.

hmm... are we going through a
new chapter?
