the day i had a very simple lunch~

yes i could say that this must be a very simple lunch i have ever had so far. i obviously not on a diet (take note that my current waist is 25½" hiks!) but this is enough for now: starbucks' crème brûlée frappuccino® with sunny side egg sandwich... ツ

alright the good thing about this easy-peasy lunch was the sandwich used wholemeal bread. and the bad thing: the drink was sooooo sweeettttt i tell you, of course because of the crème brûlée. but i love it that the coffee taste still there. so i saved RM10 for the voucher that i got from CIMB recently, not forgetting a RM2 discount for using my own tumbler.

the day finally starbucks replied me...

i was deliberately happy last few days when @StarbuckMY responded to my warm welcome to them on twitter. so i thought that they are obviously answering to almost everyone, cuz there and then i remembered of an email i sent to customer@starbucks.com.my on 30 march 2009. i attached my blog post link on earth hour 2009.

my main point was just to tell them that their outlet in ipoh didn't seems to bother to participate in the nationwide programme. unfortunately i have never received any reply.

i braved myself to tweet them to inquire about this. and i am glad i did. i received a feedback from the tweet in about 8 hours or so—

now i hope that the starbucks in ipoh will be informed of this matter. although some people think that this is nothing but nevertheless it will reflects the reputations of the whole starbucks instead. they can't take things for granted, as though that people from here are not aware about our environment. haluuu... see the legs ler, occay?!!...

you just imagine... how would you feel if the management are striving hard to do the best for their company, but on the other hand there's still some of their people who can't get along with them. how sad... even in their environmental mission statement, they called their employees as their "partners"! so isn't it uncomfortable if your "so-called-partners" can't work together with you.

how is everyone doing over the new years. for myself, like i've mentioned earlier here, i am still on the go not till the very last minutes of school holidays, that is this sunday. so more updates should be typed very soon, as soon as i am back on track at least by early next week! at the meantime i have also bought myself a new year present i.e. starbuck's planner 2009. the main reason: to make sure that i jot down whatever plans/daily schedules in a way to be rememberred or in other words, to get myself more organized in this upcoming new years *big grin* i will make sure to bring it everywhere i go, insya ALLAH; till then...

on the last day of 2008...

i have been out with my life diamonds since this afternoon. our first stop was straight to collect puteri's tickets that she won. we had lunch there as well.

after much thinking of where to head to then, we decided to come over here at the curve (again!). lucky us that we managed to get an easy parking at ikano earlier. there was a road closure until tomorrow, at the one going in to the curve. i guess its all gonna be ready for the countdown tonight. we could see that a stage has been set-up for the purpose. this time we were chilling around starbucks outlet in borders. about an hour or so ago, both my kiddos have left me here alone, to join puteri's boy friend (a budak koleq i tell you...) who came here to jalan-jalan with them. at first of course he thought of strolling with puteri alone, but me being a concerned mother, asked her to bring megat too! *glurp* the last i checked a few minutes ago, there were having some meals at mcD in cineleisure :)

now as for me, probably i shall have some splendid moment all to myself at urban retreat here at the curve *winks*

so what's everyone up to for this last day of 2008. i do not have the time to post any this year's reviews and what's not. i also don't think i will make any new year's resolution, as its quite tough to make one! anyhow maybe i will do it when i am back on track next week. at the meantime, happy new year! see you all in 2009...

puteri has collected her tickets!

its been exactly a week since puteri won a pair of tickets for mamma mia! the smash hit musical at istana budaya (official website here). finally a customer's rep from the bank called puteri this morning to collect the tickets from him. so off we went there this afternoon, had lunch at a secret recipe's outlet around there as well. tqsm for the tickets! especially to sheryl, if not for her who invited us there... :P

we know that we gonna enjoy the show this sunday at 3pm. looks like we will only go back to kuale after the show ya... and the kiddos will start schooling the day after.

its nothing much to worry about the school's preparation though as we have already bought the school's stuff i.e. uniform, shoes etc., about a week after we came back from our kuching holidays. i guess its only the matter of resting times before the school starts. i know i know... its gonna be quite tough for the kiddos also us parents, as you people could see we have been lazying around the school holidays for quite some time. now is the time for us to readjust our daily schedules hehee...

the day a car theft happened at the curve by one of their own' security people

i was so comfy sitting right here at the curve's starbucks since about 1/2 an hour ago, when suddenly a chinese man who sat besides me really make me stunned with a call that he made via his mobile phone.

he spoke malay language on the fon very fluently. from my ear-peeking to his fon conversation, i understand that he has just lost his car today to one of the curve's security department' staff itself. my oh my... looks like kuE' has been kaypochee-ing on people a lot these days lol... from the sounds of his tele-conversation with the other party (must be the curve's security department), i really felt kinda worried at the same time as well as the chinese man has been asking them to meet him here to discuss more about this issue. it seems the chinese man saw and remember of which security man who stole his car. he (chinese man) also told the other party that the security man admitted his fault anyway and demanded the chinese man to make a police report if he dares as, "siang atau malam sama saje(?)". the chinese man sounded damn angry and mad (who won't right).

i could say that it was quite a long argument with some islamic phrase by the chinese man himself like, "lailla ha illallah" or "masya allah" and many more. he also told the other party this before he ended the conversation: "harap kan pagar, pagar yang makan padi! security punya orang sendiri yang curi kereta saya!"

the chinese man continued to browse online via his laptop but i don't think that he was up to it. he switched off his laptop and walked off, after he completed his mobile fon conversations. i guess his next destination is must be directly to the police station to make a report on his lost car. doesn't this mall has cctv? i hope the chinese man can solve his problem asap. poor him! arghhh... i should have asked his permission for me to take his pic and placed it here together with this blog post!

of how kuE spend her xmas eve—

its nothing that exciting happening today. i am actually relaxing at TCB&TL, the curve outlet with puteri, watching people walking around here on christmas eve' night. wifi service from here kinda s*cks tonight, and guess what people... i tried to get connected through starbucks connection instead! hehee... so if any of you are a frequent visitor to the curve i am sure you know of how far it is between CB and starbucks right? and i am so lucky that i chose to get myself a dell inspiron 1420. i will write more about this new gadget of mine when more time permits *big grin*

as for now, i would like to take this chance to wish everyone to have a very good and enjoyable xmas— don't drink and drive, do think about your loved ones! mwahhh...

...this time at starbucks, ikano with my sister. we will go back after this. then i will be driving off back home after freshen up myself. actually... even though i would always feel good to be away from home once in a while, but without both my puteri and megat, its really hard i tell u. the feelings of missing them... argghhh... only He knows! anyhow, i am so lucky that they are very understanding. they know that their mama needs some time for herself too-- "tq darling... both of you are part of my heart n' soul".

penang bloggers meet, 25 feb. '07

i was there at the penang bloggers meet at e-gate starbucks. yea... i drove all the way from here. it was not a rare Qs for me, indeed. wow... it was the first, biggest and coolest ever bloggers meet that i have been! thanks to all of you bloggers that i met especially LogicYuan, the organiser. i could say that everyone were very sporting although most of us met for the first time. the above pics prove it all.

anyhow i 'tabik-spring' to you 5Xmom ler, for up-dating yours so fast one :P

megat and i reached e-gate around 10am. it was my first time there, parked my 4wd right in front of the starbucks. since i had an empty stomach, we headed straight to starbucks for breakfast. i didn't care already whether other bloggers already arrived or not. lapor (hungry) woh...

then i started to see millymin and CY. i knew already you two must have been there for the meet hehheee... then came LogicYuan and Koolz if i am not mistaken. there and then, more and more bloggers came, that we could easily identified each other via our dress-code (black, white and red). we adjourned out-door. unfortunately since the weather was rather hot, LogicYuan, with his 'selamba-dek' face, called everyone to go inside. the best thing was he dare to ask another patron to move outside to give way for us. i did not count the exact number of us who came but i bet you all know from the pics, that our group was big :D

although there was not much agenda, just chit-chatting and pics-taking session; the meets was wonderful. everyone really had a great time!

all of you people must have wondered, of how come puteri's face not there. she was too shy to join us at the last minute. i guess maybe she read from the list that there will be quite a number of guys too lol... its alright dear, maybe next time ya?

today in history ~ 17 december 2006

caution: this post is gonna be rather long with lotsa pics and such. you know... i was supposed to post this on 17th, but i was damn busy to get near the pc. so here goes...

i have just reached home from penang by 10pm. i had to attend a full-day seminar in prai ler... well actually, i wanted to stay in kl for at least five to six days from the day i arrived there on friday. unfortunately i saw a fax from the company on last tuesday, asking us the whole northern region to meet in pearl view hotel for a seminar :(

the best thing was when one of the pakciks came to me and asked of why i was there. it seems my dad should come instead of me. you know what people? he thought that i was the bride lol... everyone were laughing like hell. he didn't realize that it was a male' name in the invitation card ;)

so i had breakfast with V yesterday morning at kopitiam near his office in plaza damas. the main reason was of course as usual to catch-up on things, besides to hand him my bro's invitation card for this saturday. guess what people, it was my first time there. ya lor... long time never come to kl what lol... i had nasi lemak while he had 1/2 boiled eggs with buttered toast. sorry no food pics this time hehe... not infront of V lol...

alright, let me just go straight to what i wanna post this time. there were quite a number of good and memorable events happened on this day of 17 december 2006.

1 ~ it was my lil' bro's wedding reception dinner for the bride's side at the legend hotel. like the akad nikah on saturday, the wedding planner for this event was pak abu too, who is well-known for his usage of fresh flowers. so we guess of no wonder that he (pak abu) didn't charge shafinaz anything for the hantaran (gift) during the akad nikah. that night, it was full of roses in the banquet hall. in fact i could smell roses everywhere! it was nicely done. kudos pak abu!

2 ~ that day also was puteri's 12th birthday. i brought both puteri and megat to berjaya times square (that was my first time there i tell you). our intention was to just went there for jalan-jalan on puteri's birthday. we headed to starbucks for breakfast. since the mall has my favourite store MJ, i bought their school uniforms there. from there, we went straight to jusco 1U to buy a present for mom. we can't find what we wanted in MJ, that's why. we bought aramis life for her i.e. stefanie graf. we bought the same i.e. andre agassi' for dad on his 60th birthday last august. that's why. after that, we had our lunch at tgif. puteri even got a complimentary piece of chocolate cake, while some of the staff sang a birthday song for her.

besides that, puteri was absolutely surprised when VE sang a birthday song for her too. she was smiling all the way lol...
