the day i knew there's national coffee day...

its all thanks to social media these days news spread-out in no seconds at all... if not how did i find-out its 'national coffee day' today!

i tweet/posted on fb the other morning asking about the truth of bombing news in subang(?) i read via my twitter. an uncle responded in less than 20 minutes that it was a combined explosions of leaked commercial gas in the gas storage underneath the ground floor of the empire shopping gallery in subang jaya.

so its the national coffee day today. americans are scrambling to grab their free cup of coffee. although its nothing happened here, i as a coffee lover ensure i drank coffee and nothing else, just for the joy of celebrating the day. nonetheless for a coffee lover like me, everyday is a coffee day for us anyway.

-----

My conspiracy theory is that the big coffee chains started it as a smart way of promotion — hey, there is a food day, so why not a National Coffee Day? It sounds fun anyway!

So sorry, in short I don’t have an answer for you on the origin but if you do know about the history of this event please drop a note below.

happy coffee day everyone!...

kuE' article in starmag...

hey, people... in case you didn't know yet, an article by yours truly has been featured on last sunday's starmag (page SM2):

P9162990

although i haven't blog about it yet but i did tweet anyway. that's a good thingy i like about social media; where i could just type kinda short note on that 'mini-blog' first, and i will blog about it whenever i have the time. kewl, huh?

so as you could see there's no case of copy-paste. the name written in the starmag both print and online version is me. regards to this matter, that is why i never place my facebook link here in my blog. fb to me is only for family, relatives and closed friends only; and that includes bloggers that i really know.

kuE is my blogger name. i explained about it here. and basically i started this blog as an online diary. then along the way i have been offered to do sponsored blog post. that's where i started to write more than personal stuff: when some local bloggers can be proud of being famous locally, my blog is well-known by overseas agent ehem... and now you people should know by now of why i write in english. i have to maintain it this way though. this blog has given me quite good side income. anyhow what if i say that my income is more with them rather than here... hah! no doubt joining nuffnang is the best thing a local blogger could ever experienced.

i guess the fun of being a blogger will never ends...

when german army met the spanish guitar...

buenos dias!...

i ain't a world cup fan much, although its a largest sporting event in the world. but when i was there a few weeks ago, i had to ler... show some interest on it hehee... its all for the sake of 'the man'. we had to have our dinner early that weekend. he chose a japanese restaurant located just at the amcorp mall building itself. it was my first time there. not bad at all!

i was glad that i helped him to reset the sports channel for him to watch the match~ gotta call the astro' customer service line. apparently he didn't have most of the programs in the right order because he wasn't home for quite some time. i was lucky though when the guy on the other end taught me to click this-and-that then... voila! he tried the same on the other decoder too.

so when i got online as soon as i awoke this morning, i found out that #NED Netherlands & #ESP Spain are into the finals of 2010' #worldcup . aren't social media great people? we don't have to wait for the papers available at the market no more!

and of course i was rather blur then when people were tweeting and fb-ing about paul the octopus. thanx to mr google, i know now that he is actually a real octopus! hiks!...

paul is a 2-year-old octopus oracle -- born in england but raised in germany -- has predicted a german win over england in sunday's world cup game. kudos to him to for correctly predicting #GER Germany loss to #ESP Spain in the #worldcup semifinal 2.

read more about paul the octopus here.

so who are you people supporting~ the dutch chicken a.k.a. turkey or the spanish guitar? ;)
