sneak peek: 'estet' premiere screening

wow... it has been like almost 2 weeks hor? i didn't blog huhuu... well if you follow my twitter you would know of how busy i was for the past weeks~ there were quite a number of events that i attended; and that will be carried on this week too. so now already november, i have told myself that i will make sure to complete all the pending blog post asap...

so as you could see we were in sitiawan on saturday for 'estet' premiere screening. i could rather say a long blog post will be coming out soon. at the meantime i just can't wait to show you people this~

my show & tell of "estet" video clips & book launching...

it was a simple, fun and great event indeed. no doubt about it. so i thought its best to get on with a show and tell...

upon guest arrival, we were greeted by these 2 pieces indian music instrumental... i am so in lurve with it, sooooo soothing and relaxing. click on the pic to watch the video of it that i recorded.

so while i was waiting for my blogger friend to join me, i snapped here and there as usual...

the guy on white behind ayu is a poet i think, but i can't seems to be remembered his name ler plak... ayuuuuu!!!... oh you know why i shouted for ayu. that's because she's very good in spotting celebrities in a split second; oh my... i.e. we were chatting then suddenly she was like, "awie!" then not too long after that, "eizlan yusuf!". wahhh... mak oiii... ;~)

p/s tu ler, the other day when i asked in my fb/twitter of who wanna follow me to istana budaya; no one seems to be interested! haa... so i guess it was definitely ayu's day. sampai sanggup anto i balik to my place after that i tell you... :~)

"estet" book has been officially launched in a simple event...

abang mamat presented his speech

launching of the movie's video clips. both of the video clips entitled 'ayuh kawan' and 'cahaya kemenangan' will be aired on tv soon. so they hope that by the time the movie will be screened at the cinemas in december, movie goers could sing along to the tunes in the cinema too! oh btw that's awie in red cap.

then they introduced us to all the cast starting with awie. dah macam in a classroom plak when they had to stand up once they were being called hehee...

eventually paula abdul is part of my favs since my younger years during the 80s. i lurve her songs like opposite attract, rush rush, etc. i guess its because she danced along her musics very well, i like...

i also used to have a cassette collections of all her albums. besides that i bought some videos of her aerobics workout. and i still remember, one of them was paula abdul's get up and dance! :)

so paula, i would like to wish you all the best in whatever you do!

puteri and i were walking towards the lobby of istana budaya, after mamma mia! show when suddenly i was so happy and glad to saw vanidah imran right infront of my big eyes! weee...

i dunno what to say but when she turned around, i braved myself to poke her shoulder and asked her to take a pic with me. i know that she was rushing to go out, probably her husband was waiting for her or something, but i don't care! she looks stunning although she just came in orange blouse and jeans with black shawl. i like her features as well— very beautiful.

i remember she won the first sehati berdansa programme last year. they made up a good couples though. and they have a blog— Ke Bintang! — The Official Blog Of Rashidi Ishak & Vanidah Imran; by the way i don't think we can expect much as they find that blogging is a great way to keep in touch and update their friends and fans of what's happening to their latest project and stuffs!

the other day' stories

i reached home at about 5.30pm yesterday from a quick one night kl trip. i am so sorry that i didn't tell some of you. it was just a last minute plan with my sister. she has two tickets for harry connick jr [ehem... yes ween, he is sooo damn adorable in person i tell you ;) ], at dewan philharmonik petronas.

i only managed to meet my beloved sis S for lunch at tgif in pavilion. i am so glad that we met sis, i missed you sooo much! all the best for today's op ya? i know that everything gonna be alright.

i arrived pavilion very early to catch jco donuts for the first time and bought 2 dozens! hehe... ya it was my first time occay? and since i know that there's always long q, that's why i decided to get there early. puas hati! so i called my aunties back at home and asked them to come to the house around 5.30pm. hmm... what a wonderful experienced to enjoy the great donuts together with your loved ones ;) i simply loved it! yummy...

i got sober the night before but everything was alright, nothing to worry, as i know of how to develop myself well :) you know... its always like this when i bumped with some good friends in kl, thats kind of a normal thingy. before that was a really wonderful event for me--

i was one of the audience at harry connick jr and his big band 'my new orleans' tour. well some of you may not know that i can go with their type of music too. takes megat-- when i told him that i wanna go to the show, he asked me, "mama, you also like harry connick?!!" lol...

it was really a great one! harry is damn good looking for a 40 hehe... he's funny too! he really can make people laughed. he teased a couple who came late (their seats were at the front row) when he was about to sing, "hey you two... why you are so late. you forgot that the show started at 8.30 is it?". hah! ambik you... that was an event by international celebrities. so if you don't know, please bear in mind that they are very punctual with their timing. in fact earlier, harry told everyone already (while pointing his finger to the two empty seats) that, "i am sure that those two people gonna be embarrassed when they come in later during the show".

as you could see, my sister helped me to snap a pic of me with lucien barbarian, a well known trombonist who performs along with harry. lucien was there at the merchandise booth after the show. owh... if only harry was there too lol...

last weekend was the most hectic one i guess. we went to kl for one night only. while both weddings that we attended were at night *phew* unless if the one on sunday was during the day or maybe we stayed there for few nights then everything should be okay. to add-up to that, it was not on school holidays some more :(

zaf & jaja's wedding reception at dewan perdana felda

this was dubbed the wedding full of glamour where its attended by most local celebrities like ruffedge, adnan abu hassan, ezlynn, and many more. some also that i maybe knew they were celebrities but i dun really bother of their names and what they do lol... so we just... smiled ;) so end up basically there's no pics of any of them. i was not that haddup ler... to approach them and ask for pics UNLESS if its AZ lol... i knew he's somewhere but dun wanna ler... i was a bit shy some more that night hehe... about VE plak, only lah and wife were there.

o yes... it was bali theme this time with pak abu as the wedding planner also, who did for my brother's wedding too. as you could see, pak abu is well known with his works using fresh flowers... so the hall was smelled with bunga melur (jasminum sambac), nice.

azrina & daniel's wedding reception at dewan perdana felda

ina is my cousin, whose married with a perak guy also. her wedding was full of pink and white. nothing much to say here... like the saying pics say a thousand words-

it was zaf & jaja's wedding!

the akad nikah (solemnisation) ceremony was held this morning at the bride's family place in ipoh, with one lafaz. sorry people... no pics for that... but here's some pics of the tonight's reception at cempaka sari hall, silveritage galeria. enjoy!

i wish you two all the best Zaf (my SIL's brother) & Jaja on a wonderful wedding! the road of love is long and tough, but to stick it out: there is nothing in this world more rewarding! God bless you both!

i was with hitz.fm people too...

time: 11am -- 2pm
venue: la bodega, bangsar shopping centre (bsc)

as soon as we reached kl on saturday around noon, we headed straight to bsc for a charity event organised by hitz.fm morning crew with some other hitz.fm people and local celebrities helping them. i saw j.lo, maybe more later after that cuz we joined them for about 45 minutes or so only. i also met datuk shahrizat and the cute-bubbly dj azura whose now with hitz.fm.

some of you may not know. we heard about this event on hitz.fm (of course) when kids were getting ready for school. the morning crew, rudy and JJ were calling people to donate some things for school-needed-children i.e. school uniform, stationery etc. for the johor flood victims. megat was so excited that he wanna help. eventually we wanted to go to my nephew daniel's birthday party on saturday evening. so we thought that the event was just nice for us to join too. in fact i was so glad that i could be at lydia teh's book talk also.

megat gave JJ three pairs of his last year' school uniform. while puteri gave some of her stationeries. they (my kids) were so proud that they were also part of many malaysians who helped childrens in johor, who needed helps more than us. mama also proud of both of you, my princess and prince mwahh... by the way, enjoy the pics taken during the event ;)

kuE's good 'ol memories

today is the last day of the petronas f1 malaysian grand prix. firstly i thought since today is sunday, i do not wanna come down here. i could have just spend times with my kids relaxing at home, watching the f1. on another thought, i was afraid that work would be a bit busy during the last day of one-week break of the school holidays. so here i am, sitting on my office chair, up-dating my blog while watching the f1 lol. it was so damn quiet people! i guess maybe people are watching the f1 too ;)

well, everytime when talking about this f1 thing, i would always remember my good old days back then in the hospitality industry. the hotel that i was working with located near shah alam, the former venue of the gp circuit. of course back then we as the hoteliers got the advantage of serving the teams that comprised of the racers, managers, engineers etc. well not just the f1 gp people, but also the motoGP! i've met and served most of them like michael schumacher, ralf schumacher, montoya, max biaggi (his gf not just a model whose beautiful but taller than him!), valentino rossi, loris capirossi, mick doohan, who else? hmm... and many many more ;)

besides, they would always make sure that we the hoteliers would always got the VIP passes specially given by them. with that passes, we could even went in the circuit until inside the track!

there were so many stories to be remembered, but here's part of them-


story 1

i was holding the position of the front office guest relations officer (fo gro). part of my job was to request a birthday cake for our very special guest including our regular and long-term guest, via room service department. one day, it was one of the racer' from the marlboro team birthday (omigosh... i can't remember who was that). that morning, a room service staff, badli (we teased him as 'baldi' lol) called me that the birthday cake was ready. then i called the racer' room to make sure that he was there. so off i went to the room with badli. he (the racer) was so surprised seeing badli and me came to the room with the birthday cake. behind us were people from his team too. we sand birthday song to him. he was shed in tears. before badli and me left him with his mate, he gave us a carton of marlboro ciggy each. wow... i wished you all could see how happy badli was. his smiles was up to his ears you! ya lor... we have just got an imported ciggy! for me, i could say that was a bit stupid (kononnya nak tunjuk baik lor). as soon as i went back to the back office, i gave a pack each to my colleagues who smoke. such a stupid gal kan? i should have sell the ciggys to them :)


story 2

there was one year, the team that won the race (can't remember which one) was so damn happy. as soon as they stepped in the lobby, they were singing happily all the way to their room on the other building. then we heard from the housekeeping dept that the winning team had damaged most of the hotel items i.e. they broke the wall glass in the lifts, they also broke the glass window, they even threw down the big vase from the upper floor etc etc etc. the best part was their manager left a signed blank cheque with me in order for them to pay for the damages! *phew*


story 3

most of us at the front office dept would go out clubbing with the racers. not one-on-one yea... we always went in groups. some of our favourite spots were boom boom room (formerly 11la), fire, dv8, voodoo etc. just imagine people most of the times, the bills would be on the racers!


now when i saw them on tv, i dunno whether they still remember me lol because we never get in touch no more. in fact they used to give me their contact numbers and address just in case if i go there for holidays auww...
