Luscious BY NAJEEB is the best selection by him. It is as natural as your own; lightweight, wonderfully soft, reusable, it is absolutely stunning and beautiful. Luscious by Najeeb is widely used by celebrities, models and beauty conscious consumers.

Luscious by Najeeb is made with sterilized, natural hair and it is a great way to enhance the look of your eyes.

excerpts from luscious by najeeb website.

P4273005

and more importantly when budiey blogged about the product launching that he attended, we at silver line studio are proud to have najeeb's mother as one of our students! as we snapped the above pics, she just came back from kl; for the product launch on 24 April 2010, by fazura, a local celebrity. it also said that this product was inspired by fazura's quote: "talk to my lashes" when she tried najeeb's choice of fake eyelashes; until it became the motto of this product during the launch.

you can order this product online at RM18.00 each (excludes delivery charges).

p/s redmummy: i can get this fake eyelashes from najeeb's mom at a very special price. you want? i can bring for you when i go down to kl end of this month, insya-Allah ;)

men will always be men~

150510

when i saw the above' in a friend's fb status this morning, i was like: huh! men(?!!)... duh! ;P

it also reminds me of a girlfriend who, some time ago, had been taken a back exactly just like the statement. she was so regret about it. from what i knew, she was cursing her boyfriend then after she found out that she has been cheated. the boyfriend must got fed-up, the relationship clashed there and then *phew*

why are men in charge? why do men have all the power?

it's not because it's 'normal' or 'natural', i feel it's because too many stupid females are too busy degrading themselves and trying to appeal to men to focus on being treated better or having full respect. the crazy thing is, point out the truth and these same females get so mad. i am a female myself, so i notice stuff that might not be so obvious to the guys.

take a good look. in the cases of many females (TOO many), EVERYTHING they do comes back to pleasing men, appealing to men, and degrading themselves for men. the crazy thing is, it starts so early and it's so ingrained they don't even realize it.

look, i am not bashing men OR women. i am not saying one gender is better or worse than the other. what I AM saying is that it's high time for females everywhere to WAKE UP and stop being complacent so as not to upset men. stop lowering yourselves! stop degrading yourselves!! stop dumbing yourselves down! stop handicapping yourselves! stop lowering your quality of life, or just plain putting it on hold, for men!! stop attacking each other thinking it makes men happy!!

people need to get a clue and the genders need to adopt the best traits of each other instead of one group just copying the worst traits of the other.

when i am damn crazy about 'hoedown throwdown'...

this is what you will get as my slogan:

Rice Crisps by Mister Potato make my day go Hoedown~ Throw it all together, that’s how we roll!!!… ;)

and this is the line dance version. and believe it or not, i lurve to do this dance! i haven't record a video of mine though. wait and see ler... if one of these days i am up to it... ;)

so basically hoedown means a square dance, the music for a square dance, or a social gathering at which square dancing takes place.

the most popular sense of the term is associated with white americans in rural or southeastern parts of the country, particularly appalachia. it is a dance in quick movement most likely related to the jig, reel or clog dance. according to the website "streetswing", a hoedown was a virtuoso display of footwork, where a succession of dancers each tried to outdo the previous dancers. this meant that if the last dancer was the best one the audience would cheer wildly. the implied meaning of "improvised jam" has found its way into other contexts. for an example a rollerblading hoedown is a similar competitive display.

to all you nuffnang glitterati members, submit your slogan now! 150 most creative slogans will win the commenter a pair of invites to the ‘snack & screen’ session of prince of persia on 27 may 2010. not just that, in fact as usual there are many more prizes to be grabbed... woot!

let's try store brands to save more!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

In spite of the great stride countries around the globe are doing, the economy is still slowly recovering. What's worse is that, I feel that life is a bit getting more challenging these days since the value of the dollar money continues to drop. In fact, surveys of 8 out of 10 supermarket shoppers nowadays have the same observation and felt that the economy has gone worse as well.

I used to buy branded items but now, I content myself in buying store brands. I think that they have the same quality as the national brands. I started with laundry powder~ and the result was awesome!

Taking for example this exclusive survey of shopping attitudes made by GfK Custom Research North America for the Private Label Manufacturers Association or PLMA. Below are some key findings on this ongoing consumer research based on a nationwide poll of nearly 800 grocery shoppers about Recession, Recovery & Store Brands:

  • 62% of the respondents plan to buy more Store Brand products given the tough economy. I guess with the given economic crisis we still have now it is wiser to buy a certain product of same quality but at a lower price.

  • Patrons of store brands are at all-time high with 57%. Consumers are patronizing Store Brand products more than national brands because they are getting the same but at a lower price.

  • There are 43% of shoppers who are trying Store Brands for the first time who are also used to buy only national brands.

  • Among those who switched to a Store Brand 97% of those are happy with their new choice.

  • 49% shoppers who turned to Store Brands are satisfied with the price and quality comparing it to national brands.

I encouraged my friends to give the store brand a try. Based on my experience, they won’t notice a difference especially if it’s a dish washing liquid or laundry powder where they cannot taste the quality of the ingredients. This year I have started to become a frequent buyer of store brands. The majority of shoppers now say they purchase store brand products on a frequent basis.

So far, I save about more or less $50 a month by buying store brands. If Parent's Choice is available here, I would surely recommend that infant formula to my friends who have small children too ;)

my dream destination

watch more of project alpha's season 2 programme here

alright, i lurve talking about holidays~ its definitely the best thingy to do! and let me tell you people this... my dream destination is none other than wien, in austria, definitely. its actually the german name for vienna. and the names of the city in most languages, are thought to be derived from the celtic name of a settlement, but opinions vary on the precise origin. some claim that the name comes from "vedunia", meaning "forest stream", which subsequently became venia, wienne and wien. others claim that the name comes from the name of the roman settlement vindobona, probably meaning "white base/bottom", which became vindovina, vídeň (czech) and wien. source: wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia.

why wien? well, i have a major reason of why i need to visit the place someday. you will find out about it sooner or later here in my blog as the time goes...

basically, if you are seeking a "royal" city with a grand reputation, wien should be on your list of places to visit. not only is wien filled with must-see historical attractions, but its cultural and musical offerings are delightful. the city’s restaurants are excellent, while the shopping is ubiquitous and luxurious. live music, a theme for which wien is known so well, is available at many venues throughout the imperial city.

by the way, understanding wien's past will help you to appreciate why today’s city is so special.

up & running ye!...

remember the other day i was so emo, that make me wanted to listen to all those feeling² kinda thingy. i was so down. i looked so happy outside, but not inside me. well i am glad that its all over now, and everything seems to be fine and ok as usual.

to cut the story short, i was at mr z's place at amcorp apartment suite, over the weekend alone. i was chatting with "him" that saturday night, and was truly disappointed when i found out that "he" two-time me! and believe me or not, i was chatting with a wrong id people for god's sake! walaweiii... how on earth that could be happened(?).

we had a good chat-cum-discussion on skype yesterday. it was real funny though, when i bombarded him with harsh words for "the stupid thingy" that he has done for hours i tell you. while he was puzzled of what i was mumbling about LOL! i even asked him whether he chose "her" or me. he was obviously more stunned, and shocked; seeing me overreact. then finally when i mentioned about "the chat"... he was like huh?!! the chat?!! *glurp*

so people, here's some lessons that we could learn:
  1. don't simply jump into conclusion before you find out the truth!

  2. be very careful of with whom you get in touch online i.e. to ensure that you chat with someone that you really know. in this case, i chatted with a stranger... hiks!

and now that everything seems to be ok, i shall blog about the saturday's event very soon! hehee...

foursquare.com

width="500"

i was beginning to hear a lot about foursquare in the past few months, actually more after i saw most of my local twitter friends i know, tweeting their whereabouts via foursquare. and in the past few month i decided to explore and experience foursquare myself. i find that its a next big thing after twitter! while as per mashable, it maybe the next twitter!

to start with i have always been very impressed with the idea of using location based targeting with social networks (though i understand that people always may not want to reveal their locations and may be averse to this concept). however foursquare takes it to the next level intelligently by using the entire concept as if it were a video game.

the idea that strikes me about this is that it allows me to know if my friends are nearby, what are they doing, what are they recommending and if there is a possibility of collaborating and doing something together-without having to ask or trying hard to describe in 140 characters.

for an example: i brought kids to a local rest house last night to watch the 'panjut' show, updated my whereabouts via foursquare; voila! it appeared on both my facebook and twitter feeds. let's take twitter: if you click the word 'here', it will come out a small version of google map of my location (here's the latitude). aren't that kewl?...

4sq

take note that april is a busy month for perak people as its the sultan's birthday month. i will elaborate more on this on the next blog post.

by the way i have always believed that the idea of social networking is not so much about making friends out of strangers-but about sustaining and enriching our relationships with existing and real friends.

the N76 app of foursquare is awesome and convenient, though sometimes i am not able to use it fully i.e. the thing is i seems to be very forgetful to update it. take the gatsby street fair recently, i didn't update ler... LOL!

p/s even though i haven't blog about gatsby street fair, the pics already up on my flickr anyway...

so how does foursquare work?

foursquare allows users to ‘check-in’ whenever they visit a place. this place could be a local chai shop, a vegetable market, your gym, a café, a cinema hall, restaurant, a hospital and what have you.

when you ‘check-in’ you can ‘shout’ about the place to all your friends and maybe write something in your ‘to do’ and ‘tips’.

based on your location visits foursquare can recommend you about similar places to explore nearby, and as you explore and check-in you gather points. i guess that's good enough explanation about foursquare. find out more about it here.

don't forget to add me on foursquare here; hmm... i wonder who else in kuala kangsar is using this application ;)

this one first~

P4172991

as you people could see, some of you may know that i was there at gatsby deodorant steet fair. i am still in the mid of uploading/editing the pics from my oly anyway. so the blog post should be up anytime soon.

at first i thought that i wanna gate-crashed a line dance party held at ttdi community hall, right after i finished with the above' event. unfortunately i was too tired for that. and since it was raining, i guess that its better if i go straight back home. and if i did also~ i will be charged more than usual by the taxi drivers. you know: kl! anyhow like i tweet earlier, i not just forgot to bring shoes for the gatsby street fair, but i also didn't bring any dancing shoes!

so once i reached kl sentral, i bought burger king take-out for dinner; before i continued my journey. relaxing at home is much more better... besides that, i so lovin' the fast internet speed here~ heaven! *peace*

al-fatihah to cikgu yuwan

width="299"

pic taken on 11 november 2008, at the school's hari anugerah cemerlang. she was of course invited.

i just got back from visiting my late malay language teacher in primary school, cikgu yuwan; who died in alor star at ± 5.30 pm yesterday of ovarian cancer. they scheduled to bury her at the nearby cemetery at 10 am. i had to go back straight after the visit as i have my red flag now, and prohibited to go there *sigh*

i dunno why that i feel so down today. when i wanted to leave the house this morning with my mom, i thought that i wanna be kewl and stay strong. but i can't help it, really. i still had my tears running from my big eyes. luckily i had my sunglasses on. this sad news really 'touched' me.

i know, everyone from the school remember her as the one who always sang 'widuri' during teachers'/children's day and such. she was the school's headmistress for a few years before she left in 2002/03 if i am not mistaken for a primary school in lubuk merbau until present. her youngest daughter is same age with puteri. i will bring puteri to visit her later after school.

although we love cikgu yuwan so much, but Allah loves her more... RIP.

no strings attached

'no strings attached' by 'n sync

imagine a world of wireless electricity, where plugging in a power-cord to charge your mobile, mp3 player or laptop becomes obsolete. with growing electronic gadgets at our disposal, there is the need to develop a new means of power transmission. but how close are we to the practical replacement of the power cord, and what are the physical constraints that need to be circumvented before it becomes a daily household commodity?

the principle of electromagnetic induction is responsible for energy transmission between the transmitter and the receiver. energy can be transmitted and received over a large distance, but for maximum power transfer, the two inductors have to be placed close to each other. the system works on the phenomenon of resonance, i.e. when two objects of similar frequency are placed next to each other they exchange energy strongly without effecting the nearby objects.

no sweat

if you happened to be on my blog recently, you may have realized it that i am so into line dancing so much (watch it here)! line dancing for me, is part of an exercise activities; besides having fun by dancing to the good music. when we do this, we intend to sweat; just like any other exercise routine. as we could see sweat is uncountable drops of salty liquid that come out through your skin when you are hot, frightened, ill, or doing exercise.

some of us may have problems with the body odour when sweat. hey! no sweat! no problems at all when we go for this—

"i'm going to the gatsby deodorant street fair"

hear ye! hear ye!...

this is part of what i lurveeeee to do: line dancing~

i have been involved in line dance for more than 15 months now. not just as passion, it could also keep me going and fit!

and when i found out that nuffnang and gatsby will be teamed up for gatsby deodorant street fair, which is happening on:

date: 17 april 2010
time: 10 am – 5 pm
venue: front foyer, ground floor, berjaya times square, kuala lumpur;

i thought to myself: oh! i am not gonna missed this. i shall take some time off from my line dance activities. at least there are something different for me to go up and about. i am very sure that its gonna be a fun and happening day!

i understand that there will be some lucky draws and various cool gadgets worth up to RM15,000 up for grabs! besides that, among the exciting games on that day – sumo wrestling (in air bag suits!), gladiator battles and other amusing and addictive games you would expect at a fun-fair! go here for more info.

the day i only renewed my driving license today!

we were on the way back from kuala lumpur, when almost reaching ipoh that i remembered~ i still haven't renew my driving licence *glurp* and the best part was that even my dad dunno that it has been expired since 25 february. well its not that i simply dili-deli until i seems to forget to do it. i had the pic ready last week though :)

sometimes i feel like we must have at least not one but two reasons for us to do things out of our normal routine. like in my case, i prefer to renew my driving license myself; not through third party~ its rather quick where you will get it there and then. besides that you are also paying for the fees only, without any service charges by a third party! see- you can save some bits there for other thingy. and to make sure these were done efficiently, i chose to go to jpj office in ipoh. take note that there's no jpj office in kuala kangsar.

we reached ipoh around 11am, just on time before their long-hour lunch break on friday from 11.45 am to 2.45 pm *phew* and since the location (jalan kompleks sukan) is not that far from north ipoh interchange, i likeeeee...

my dad and kids waited in the car as we knew that it gonna take me a very short while only. upon reaching the office, i had to take a number first as its on a first-come-first-serve basis system. it took me quite some time to dig my old driving license from my wallet before i could get the number... walaweiii!!! the officer at the numbering counter teased me some more, "awat lama beno nak ambik lesen nye". then i thought: hey! watch your mouth. you are dealing with a blogger. this gonna be in my blog. now there you go... ;P

P3192995

front part of my old driving license - go here to get a rough idea of why my pic in the license look aren't that good :(

P3192997

and that was also the reason of the old one being a duplicate copy instead.

i didn't have to wait long for my turn. they have about 9 officers in charge at the respective counters. i was kinda shocked though when i was asked to pay RM150 for a 5 years driving license. that means the fees has been increased from RM20 to RM30 per year. its not a problem actually. but it showed of how back-dated i was! heheee...

P3193003

yours truly showing the world her new driving license

kuE' note:
lessons learned here is to get the correct facts the next time you wanna approach any counter. luckily i had enough cash in hand then... hiks!

I'M BACK!

hey people!

omigosh! i abandoned you for so long... everyone kept asking me to update my blog and i am so sorry... hah! so here's some updates like what i could think off right now~

  1. i have quite a number of back-dated blog post in my blog' draft folder. and as i mentioned many times before, that will be coming out no matter what. so please bear with me if you find them annoying.

  2. my darling puteri and handsome megat are growing up fast! that most people really thought we are siblings instead of mother and her children. i know i know the last pic of them was seen here during the last hari raya. you could obviously look for it in the archives :)

  3. i feel like shit now for many reasons actually.

  4. i think i have turned into a fb and twitterholic; believe me its not a compliment. so this is the answer of why it's been quite some time i didn't blog warggghhhhhhhhhh!!!...

  5. a friend and i opened a line dance studio since last 2 february. i am so proud of ourselves. i have created a blog here, but i am afraid its nothing much there yet.

  6. i guess i lost my capabilities to learn german as i didn't get good support and encouragement from mr z. duh(?!!)...

  7. i want new clothes.

  8. i need a dancing shoes for me to enjoy my linedancing more.

  9. i am loosing my patience.

i guess that's it for now. i donno whether i will post frequent updates but i will try my very best.

tatatititutu...

my favourite surfing spot~

the best place for me to surf online is of course from the comfort of my own bedroom! i can just switch-on my dell, connect to the cyber world with my maxis usb broadband, and voila! simple as that.

like now, believe it or not: i am still in my pj's... lying down here on my antique bed ahh... heaven! monday blues huh?!! sort of i guess. its kind of a lazy monday for me today. PLUS its school holidays people!!! nothing to rush here and there *phew*

and another thingy best when you have your own usb broadband, you can bring it anywhere you go and you can surf online from wherever you are. for an example when i went to malacca last week; at first i did try to connect my dell via the hotel's wifi, but when i found that its rather slow, i quickly connected it with my usb broadband instead as long as i know that the place have an easy 3G connection :)

so if you ask me, my choice of connection is definitely the usb broadband better!

or maybe this portable broadband:

width="299"

like i mentioned earlier, its easy to bring along whenever and wherever i go!

and what about your favourite surfing spot people. care to share with me?

i spotted "it" !

this happened yesterday morning, when a friend and i just parked the car for us to go to the mpkk building. i saw something familiar when we were just about to enter the paking area.

KNOW how to SAY NO!

i assumed that you people must have known that my weekends was damn hectic from my twitter updates i.e. here, here, and here. so now, its not that i do not wanna update about it yet; but anyhow a text from someone in the morning made me wanna blog this (refer this blog post' title) first eagerly~

now, how often do you find yourself faced with a situation where you know you should say no, and you may even want to, but you don't because of what others may think? for many of us, such situations happen all too often. so how do we deal with them? how do we keep from acting against our better judgment?

the difficulty often lies in our not wanting others to think badly of us, so we find it hard to say no. yet, if we refuse to say no, we can end up getting in trouble or hurting ourselves or others. we could even end up breaking the law of god.

if you find yourself taken advantage of because you can't bring yourself to utter a polite but firm no, consider some of the excuses you've probably heard:

• "i'll have to think about that."
• "i'll have to check my diary."
• "i'll get back to you."

situations like these often place us in compromising positions with our beliefs and standards, family rules or desires. but it is possible to come up with reasonable and friendly ways of saying no. the next time you're faced with the dilemma of knowing you should say no, consider some of the following.

step 1

knowing when to say no to someone is less about you not wanting to do something than you getting stuck with something that is much more time consuming than the person asking your help let on. i used to have a real problem with this. since i can catch-up things fast, i often been asked for a hand to get something done instantly. but truly indeed i was so shocked when someone told me that the particular person was damn mad at me when i didn't turn up one day. walaweiii... you can imagine how that went over. i needed to find a way to politely say no or at least filter the things through before committing to them. here is how i have learned to do this:

a friend of yours call you and asks, "what are you doing this weekend?" instead of telling the truth about not having anything major going on, tell them you have a lot of work to do around your house and that you weren't sure what else was going on. then simply ask, "how about you." this is where most people drop the ball. "i'm working on this project and i really want to get it done this weekend. think you can give me a hand for a bit?" before you say anything, use the next step.

step 2

TAKE 10 TO 20 SECONDS TO THINK ABOUT YOUR RESPONSE. if you must, make a few hum and um noises to let them know you are still on the line. what you need to do in this time is plan your response. if you are good friends, chances are you really do want to help, but if your time is limited, use this response: "i might be able to, but i want to see what you have going on because i can't commit to an all day project." you just let them know you my be able to help, but for a limited time. this gives you the opportunity to see what they need for yourself. or just ask them how long they need your help for. if you can help that long and it fits into your schedule, you can do it. if you can't, say no.

step 3

it is hard when people do the old, "come on, man... your are the last person i called. i was really hoping you could help me out. look i'll help and it won't take that long." first of all, this is only true if both of you are tackling different parts of a project because most of the time they are calling you because they do not know how to do it themselves. recognize this and simply say, "if i had time i would, but i just don't have time right now." this is true in many cases and if they still don't get it, you have to cut off what they are saying and just say, "NO!"

i help a lot of people with their things and usually know enough to show them what they need to do and get out of there. what you have to remember is that you are doing them a favor. a favor is free and should not be taken advantage of. if one of your friends gets mad if you don't help them, they are simply lazy and trying to avoid their portion of responsibility for their things. be strong but kind and pause before answering any question and think about your answer. you will save yourself some time and grief ☮

al-fatihah to uncle sabree

thanx to twitter, i tweet about this earlier before hand. it was kinda easy-peasy; as i just forwarded a text that i received from a dad's friend, pak pian.

uncle sabree passed away this morning around 1 am. our condolence to his family, and may he rest in peace...

uncle sabree was well known to kualè and the surrounded area, with his kind of songs on kualè of course. check-out the song of 'masa kecilku di kampung karai' (my childhood life in karai village) — its all well mentioned in the song, of his way of life.

in his life, uncle sabree not just performed at weddings but also at corporate functions, not forgetting at istana iskandariah too. he also performed in my school many years ago for some functions. a dad's friend even brought him to australia for his son's wedding!

i know, uncle sabree will be missed by kualè people indeed. RIP.

and now, let me leave you people with another song by uncle sabree~ 'jangan dok mengata orang'. enjoy!...
